Enhancing Productivity and Innovation in the Era of Industry 4.0: UNDIRA Holds Business Workshop for Students

Amid the rapid advancements of Industry 4.0, where people must carefully consider how to channel their hard-earned efforts, a plan that fosters a sense of security, especially financially, is needed. This can be achieved through investing or engaging in entrepreneurial activities.
To prepare its students, on September 14, 2024, Universitas Dian Nusantara (UNDIRA) held a seminar for students titled, "P2MW, PKM, and PKK Ormawa Seminar: The Dynamics of Entrepreneurship in the Era of Industry 4.0, Business Idea Challenges for P2MW Proposal Writing and Opportunities for Students."
Moderated by Mr. Rengga Sendrian, M.Hum, Head of Student Affairs, the seminar featured two speakers: Mr. Eriklex Donald, S.E., M.M., Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Dr. Wachyu Hari Haji, Head of the Internship and Certified Independent Study Program (MSIB) at the Ministry of Education and Culture.
Through this seminar, Vice Rector III, Dr. Ir. Muhammad Hasan Toyib, M.M., explained that economic planning is something that everyone must understand. As UNDIRA's education is based on the principles of being Visionary, Integrity, and Professionalism, the same concepts can be applied to the world of entrepreneurship.
Being visionary means that one must foresee the potential for building the future. Integrity focuses on the intentions and motives of an entrepreneur in achieving success. Professionalism emphasizes a firm stance on how one conducts business, not only through good relationships but also by being decisive in managing entrepreneurial activities.
Entrepreneurship is the process of identifying, developing, and realizing opportunities to create new businesses or ventures aimed at generating value and profit. An entrepreneur is an individual willing to take risks, investing time, effort, and capital to create something new, whether it be products, services, or other innovations.
During the session presented by both speakers, students were equipped with practical demonstrations, including product presentations by Mr. Eriklex Donald, S.E., M.M., featuring various consumer goods such as Bitter Melon Chips and Nuts. To support students' financial management through entrepreneurship, P2MW offers an incentive of IDR 15,000,000 for student groups whose business proposals are approved.
It is hoped that by fostering awareness of entrepreneurial spirit, UNDIRA graduates will be able to manage their finances for the future and develop new innovations that benefit not only themselves but also society.
