Committed to Shaping a Global-Minded Generation: UNDIRA Advances Further International Collaboration Plans with NAKKKIM Ukraine
Jakarta, December 15, 2025 – On Monday, November 15, 2025, a partnership agreement was signed between Dian Nusantara University (UNDIRA) and several universities in Ukraine, including The National Academy of Culture and Arts Management (NAKKKIM). Concurrent with this signing, a Public Lecture titled "Implementation of Cross-Cultural Communication in Conflict Areas" was held as an initial implementation of the cooperation, reinforcing NAKKKIM’s commitment to UNDIRA. This strategic collaboration marks a significant step toward expanding academic and research networks on the international stage.
Following previous activities, the series of collaborations continued directly at the NAKKKIM building in Kyiv, Ukraine. The event was attended in person by the Rector and the Academic Senate of NAKKKIM, alongside the Indonesian Ambassador to Ukraine, Mr. Arief Muhammad Basalamah. Meanwhile, the Academic Senate of UNDIRA participated virtually. The ceremony focused on the official signing of cooperation documents by NAKKKIM, Ukraine.
The partnership between these two educational institutions was made possible through the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Ukraine, particularly Ambassador Arief Muhammad Basalamah. In his opening remarks, the Ambassador expressed his appreciation to the Rector of UNDIRA, Prof. Dr. H. Suharyadi, and the entire UNDIRA community for initiating this extraordinary collaboration.
“Education is a valuable asset, not only for the present but for the long term. With the rapid development of partnerships and globalization, it is only fitting that we equip future generations to be competitive and global-minded through this cooperation,” the Ambassador stated.

Professor Valerii Vitaliyovych Marchenko, Rector of The National Academy of Culture and Arts Management (NAKKKIM), Ukraine, also expressed his pride in UNDIRA’s vision, which focuses on preparing the younger generation for international education.
He emphasized that strengthening the partnership between UNDIRA and NAKKKIM is more than just building a bridge of knowledge; it is a foundation for achieving mutual excellence and broader impact through various forms of collaboration. This partnership holds a strong commitment to global educational excellence, student exchange opportunities, and joint research initiatives between UNDIRA and NAKKKIM.
Furthermore, this cooperation is expected to serve as a gateway for cultural and social introduction between the two nations, providing significant benefits for higher education and global character development across borders.
Mr. Imam Priyono, S.T., M.M., Director of Cooperation at Dian Nusantara University, who attended virtually, expressed his gratitude to Mr. Arief Muhammad Basalamah as the Indonesian representative in Kyiv for his pivotal role in realizing the UNDIRA-NAKKKIM collaboration. He expressed his hope that this partnership would bring positive benefits to both countries through various research endeavors. In response, NAKKKIM expressed their desire to visit Indonesia in the future to further strengthen their relationship with UNDIRA.
