Fostering the Spirit of Entrepreneurship in Industry 5.0: UNDIRA and AyoKreasi Hold a Techpreneurship Seminar

Jakarta, September 30, 2025 – The world of business and trade today cannot be separated from the use of technology and automation. This can be observed in the rising traffic and utilization of commercial platforms as well as various social media channels, which are now frequently used as business owners.
Recognizing the importance of developing technological and AI competencies in the commercial sector for Generation Z—not only to foster creativity but also to expand capital resources—the Student Affairs Bureau of Dian Nusantara University (UNDIRA), together with the AyoKreasi team, held an open collaborative seminar entitled “Techpreneurship 5.0: Becoming an Entrepreneur in the Era of AI and Automation.”
The Deputy of Digital Economy and Creative Products at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Muhammad Neil El Himam, expressed full support for the initiative of the AyoKreasi team and Dian Nusantara University in advancing the trade sector in the era of Society 5.0. According to him, in the midst of the rapid development of AI and automation, which have become the main drivers of industrial transformation, collaboration between universities and creative players is essential to produce innovation and enhance competitiveness. This support is expected to strengthen a digital trade ecosystem that is adaptive, inclusive, and sustainable for Indonesia’s young generation.
Norman Yachya, S.T., MBA., Director of the Student Affairs Bureau, stated that this seminar serves as a response to the rapid technological progress that is also revolutionizing the business world.
“The rise of AI and automation is not merely a discourse on the future—it is a present reality that we must confront and transform into something beneficial. A good entrepreneur must be able to align with, seize momentum, and innovate by leveraging AI and technology as capital to achieve new breakthroughs,” he continued.
Adding to this, Ir. Hasanuddin Thoyieb, M.M., Vice Rector III for Public Relations, Student Affairs, and Cooperation, emphasized that while automation offers greater flexibility in holistic business development, fundamentally, businesses thrive only when partnerships are synergistic and mutually beneficial.
He further illustrated that the business world can be likened to a tree that requires a long period of cultivation. Yet through an inclusive and thorough approach, coupled with patience, it will eventually yield fruits that can be enjoyed.
Building upon this, Ajib Hamdani highlighted that fostering entrepreneurial interest in today’s 5.0 era requires a mindset that balances being an employee with planning long-term business goals as part of risk management. From this foundation, entrepreneurial interest and innovation can grow. Achieving success in business in the 5.0 era not only requires mastery of technology as its backbone but also demands consideration of human factors that influence market sustainability. These include understanding the target market, formulating a vision, mission, and value proposition, and building a solid team to face challenges.
Echoing the remarks of the Vice Rector and Student Affairs Director, Nurul Islahiyah, Chairperson of AyoKreasi, expressed her hope that this seminar would mark the starting point for the emergence of young technopreneurs who are competent in navigating technological advancements and the Society 5.0 era.
Alhar Puja Pratama, CEO of Alsmart, remarked that to be an entrepreneur, one does not need to fully grasp every business concept. A businessperson simply needs to understand the market and current trends to operate effectively. He added that the presence of AI, which now simplifies business processes, is a blessing as it streamlines creation and workload distribution, thereby establishing a more efficient and effective workflow.
Meanwhile, Tanto Haryanto, CEO of Boxlabs, shared practical tips, emphasizing that when starting a business, it is crucial to understand both the prospects and the precise needs to be addressed. This aligns with the spirit of utilizing technology not only as a matter of technical mastery but also as a tool for competent reasoning across various fields.
Ultimately, mindset and ideology are the primary drivers that can propel the economy through entrepreneurship. With such understanding, students are expected to be better prepared to face the challenges of the business world while creating innovations relevant to industry needs.
