17 Februari 2025

Jakarta, February 17, 2025 - In an effort to enhance the competence of the students at Universitas Dian Nusantara (UNDIRA), the UNDIRA Student Affairs Bureau organized a coaching program for the Student Creativity Program (PKM): PKM Proposal Writing for UNDIRA Students 2025/2026.

According to The Head of Student Beurau, mr. Rengga Sendrian, M. Hum, this event aims to orient students to be adaptive, competitive, flexible, and productive through Higher Education transformation. The goal is for them to become highly competitive graduates who also uphold moral values in society. Students can write PKM proposals to obtain research or field study grants through the Ministry of Education and Culture.

The PKM activities are open to all students from various study programs. Some types of PKM that can be undertaken include:

  1. PKM Exact Research (PKM-RE): Science and technology-based research.

  2. PKM Social Humanities Research (PKM-RSH): Community and arts-based research.

  3. PKM Entrepreneurship: Development of science and technology products as business commodities.

  4. PKM Community Service (PKM-PM): Solving problems within the community.

  5. PKM Science and Technology Application (PKM-PI): Technology-based solutions for community issues.

  6. PKM Creative Work (PKM-KC): Creation of functional products.

  7. PKM Innovative Work (PKM-KI): Innovative works that can be mass-produced.

  8. PKM Constructive Ideas Video (PKM-VGK): Visual education on societal and national issues.

  9. PKM Written Futuristic Ideas (PKM-GFT): Creation of future thinking through literature.

  10. PKM Scientific Article (PKM-AI): Writing scientific articles for publication in national or international journals.

Dr. Wachyu Hari Haji, S.Ikom., M.M., MPM., CHRA, Head of the Certified Internship and Independent Study Program (MSIB) at the Ministry of Education and Culture, provided guidance on the mechanism of PKM proposal writing to ensure approval and produce the best output. The format for PKM proposal writing is similar to thesis research, which includes Introduction, Literature Review, and Methodology.

He emphasized the importance of keyword placement and the proper use of language for validity and selection processes. The Ministry of Education and Culture's system can detect the legitimacy of proposal documents, and although AI-assisted writing is not prohibited, originality is prioritized to maintain the credibility and integrity of the student PKM projects. Approved proposals are also required to use an E-stamp of 10,000 that can be purchased on verified legal websites.

Dr. Wachyu Hari Haji added that a good proposal should include:

  1. General Overview of Partner Community: Description of the partner's condition and potential for development, as well as the problems faced and strategy for solution implementation.

  2. Cost and Activity Schedule: Cost estimation based on priority scale to maximize budget and avoid misinformation. Assistance can be provided in kind or in cash.

  3. Attachment of Team and Supervising Lecturer's Biodata: Transparency in the implementation of PKM activities and the parties involved. Commitment between both parties in supporting the PKM activities in a conducive manner.

  4. Detailed Location Map of Partner Program: Location information for monitoring and evaluation to ensure all activities run according to plan.

The UNDIRA Student Affairs Bureau allows proposal preparation until March. The Bureau are also committed to supporting the UNDIRA Student PKM program by selecting supervising lecturers that meet the PKM team's criteria. Additionally, scholarships are offered to students who successfully pass the Ministry of Education and Culture's proposal selection.
