The Research and Community Service Institute (LRPM) of Dian Nusantara University (UNDIRA) organized a public lecture with the theme "AI-Powered Research: Strategies for Advancing Your Academic Career" on June 25, 2024 at the Tanjung Duren Campus Hall Jakarta. Through this event, LRPM UNDIRA presented competent resource persons in their fields, namely Mrs. Nani Teig, Ph.D. Nani Teig, Ph.D as Associate Professor of Science Education at the Department of Teacher Education, University of Oslo, Norway.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Dian Asra Foundation Mr. Sagoro Dharmawan, Rector of Dian Nusantara University Prof. Dr. H. Suharyadi, Vice Rector III Dr. Ir. Muhammad Hasanuddin Thoyieb, MM, along with several leaders of Dian Nusantara University and officially this public lecture by Dr. Ir. Muhammad Hanafi, MBA, IPU as Director of the UNDIRA Research and Community Service Institute (LRPM).

In her presentation, Nani Teig, Ph.D delivered material on the utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in academic research. She emphasized the importance of the right strategy in utilizing AI to improve academic careers, one of which is the use of ChatGPT in assisting the research process. In addition, he also explained about effective prompt engineering techniques to obtain accurate and relevant information. And as an AI user, critical thinking is needed to control how AI is used.

AI-based research strategies and how this technology can be used to advance academic careers. He outlined various methods and tools that can assist researchers in collecting and analyzing data, as well as how AI can improve research efficiency and effectiveness.

The event received high enthusiasm from the participants, which consisted of lecturers, students, and researchers from various disciplines. They gained new insights into how AI technology can be integrated in research to produce quality and innovative scientific work.

In closing, Prof. Dr. H. Suharyadi as the Rector of Dian Nusantara University revealed that technological development is currently moving at a very fast pace, creating constant change and innovation. In the face of this situation, lecturers need to increase their learning speed to remain relevant and competent in the world of education. It is very important for lecturers not to be left behind by their students, so that they can continue to provide quality and up-to-date learning.

Through this public lecture, it is hoped that academics and researchers will gain inspiration and new knowledge in utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) to improve the quality of teaching, research, and Community Service (PkM).
