5. Why choose Informatics Engineering Study Program

Informatics Engineering is a field of science that studies how to use computer technology optimally to deal with transformation problems or data processing with logical processes. In the Department of Informatics Engineering you will learn various principles related to computer science from the process of designing, developing, testing, to evaluating software operating systems. During college you will learn a lot about programming and computing, and will also be equipped with software design skills.
With the rapid development of technology, the Department of Informatics has become one of the majors that have many enthusiasts. At the 2021 SBMPTN, the Department of Informatics became the top 5 most popular majors in the scientific community. It is not surprising, because the types of promising future jobs are closely related to graduates from this major. Not to mention, the amount of income that has the potential to be obtained is also very large.
Indonesia currently lacks experts in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The number of graduates in the STEM field is still not sufficient for the needs of the industrial revolution 4.0. The Dian Nusantara University Informatics Engineering Study Program is here and committed to meeting the needs of the Industry. The knowledge and skills that will be obtained by studying at the Informatics Engineering Study Program are the ability to analyze, think logically, think systematically, problem solving, work independently or in a team, understand programming languages, informatics engineering and computer networks as well as be creative, diligent, thorough, and details.
The Informatics Engineering Study Program at Dian Nusantara University was established in 2019 and in 2 years has won trust with the current number of students being 900 students. This is one of the reasons to join us. The Informatics Engineering Study Program has human resources (lecturers) with S2 and S3 qualifications and has professional competency certification according to their scientific fields.
In the process of learning and teaching, the Informatics Engineering Study Program at Dian Nusantara University is equipped with a Learning Management System (LMS) https://klikonline.undira.ac.id/ which can be accessed anytime and anywhere. anywhere, as well as integrated into SPADA DIKTI. Some courses are integrated with international academies such as Oracle Academy, Red Hat Academy and Huawei Academy, so that students will get an attendance course certificate and the opportunity to get international certification.
Informatics Engineering Program at Dian Nusantara University has a curriculum that is always updated and has also implemented the MBKM Program https://kampusmerdeka.kemdikbud.go.id/ for 8 forms of learning activities, namely student exchanges, internships or work practice, teaching assistance in education units, research or research, humanitarian projects, entrepreneurial activities, independent studies/projects and building villages or thematic real work courses (KKNT). For the odd semester 2021/2022, 6 students have participated in independent study/project learning activities at Dicoding - Front-End Web and Back-End Developer, Dicoding - Multi-Platform and Back-End Application Developer, Talent Scouting Academy - The Future of IT Infrastructure and Cyber Security Analyst : Cybersecurity Analyst.
