Fellow UNDIRA friends, before we know it, we will once again commemorate the Birthday of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), which falls on September 5, 2025, or 12 Rabiul Awal 1447 H. The Prophet's Birthday itself is a special day for Muslims because on this day, we collectively remember the late Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), not only for his achievements in carving Islamic history but also for his role as a wise leader.

During his lifetime, Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) carried out the task given by Allah SWT as 'Rahmatan lil 'alamin' or Bearer of Mercy for All Creation. He not only played a role in conveying Islamic teachings but was also responsible for the development of human morality.

This undoubtedly made him one of the most respected figures in Islamic history. Knowing this, fellow UNDIRA friends, we should all open ourselves to walk in the same direction as Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

Fellow UNDIRA friends, we are now faced with the prevalence of public demonstrations. This is largely influenced by several social media channels that subsequently divide citizens' perceptions, resulting in chaos and anarchy spilling over.

Besides being a moment of great celebration for Muslims, the Birthday of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) teaches us to maintain humanitarian values, especially amid the chaos that is currently occurring. As we know, Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) was a figure with five qualities that can serve as examples for humanity: Shiddiq (Truthful), Amanah (Trustworthy), Fathanah (Intelligent), Tabligh (Conveying), and Tawadhu (Humble).

In fighting for rights, ego is certainly never far from humans and can sometimes make us submit to it rather than the other way around. Often, with heated situations, ego and anger can be carried away due to decreased empathy, causing us to forget the safety of ourselves and the surrounding community, thus leading to anarchy.

Indeed, in fighting for rights, we should not prioritize anarchy or violence as the primary answer. The Prophet's struggle, although it involved warfare, was not repressive and anarchic, so there were no prolonged riots that harmed the public.

As stated in Surah Al-Baqarah verse 190: "And fight in the way of Allah those who fight you, and do not transgress limits, indeed Allah does not love transgressors."

The Fathanah (intelligence/wisdom) characteristic of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) has very deep relevance in facing the disruption era caused by social media and anarchic phenomena. The flood of information and hoaxes now haunts digital spaces. The Fathanah trait prioritizes critical thinking that does not accept information at face value but carefully analyzes every source and content before drawing conclusions.

This year's Birthday of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) is more than just a moment to commemorate the Prophet's birth. This year, amid various demonstration actions full of tension, the Birthday of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) is a moment to look back at our role model in order to create self-transformation through collective introspection.

Let us, under the celebration of the Birthday of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), together strengthen our faith as well as the bonds of friendship to collectively protect ourselves and uphold humanitarian values as possessed by Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), a figure who is 'Rahmatan lil alamin'.
