Accredited as "Excellent," UNDIRA Strengthens Academic Records of Faculty for a Visionary Future

Jakarta, December 13, 2024 – Documentation of academic works is often an overlooked aspect for faculty members in higher education institutions. Recognizing this, Universitas Dian Nusantara (UNDIRA) supports the integration of the data formulation initiative introduced by the Directorate of Higher Education through sister.kemendikbud.go.id. UNDIRA acknowledges the importance of a unified data system within the university to facilitate monitoring and evaluation (MoNEV) of faculty performance and career qualifications. This encompasses education, teaching, research, community service, and other supporting activities to ensure continuous quality improvement every semester.
Sharing this vision of faculty management, the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences (FBIS) and the Directorate of Human Resources at UNDIRA organized a workshop titled "Documentation Management for Tenured Faculty Works." The aim of this workshop is to encourage faculty members to document their activities in a structured, systematic, and comprehensive manner by optimizing Google Workspace, which is widely used within UNDIRA.
Prof. Dr. H. Suharyadi, Rector of Universitas Dian Nusantara, emphasized that this workshop marks a pivotal moment for reinforcing the faculty's commitment to maintaining consistency in educational quality and research performance. This is especially crucial following the recent accreditation achievement of "Excellent," awarded by BAN-PT last week. It is important for faculty lecturers to understand data documentation and identify their internal challenges. Control mechanisms implemented by relevant units will help enhance faculty performance and career progression every two years, or at most, every four years,” Suharyadi explained (Friday, 13/12/2024).
He added that a self-assessment using SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) is crucial for UNDIRA faculty. Such analysis aids in achieving more focused and effective evaluations, ensuring proper placement of faculty positions based on predetermined criteria and competencies.
Supporting the Rector's statement, Vice Rector III, Margono Sugeng, M.Sc., reiterated that this activity aligns with the implementation of UNDIRA's organizational culture: Visionary, Integrity, Professional (VIP). “This reflects the essence of modern civilization that prioritizes technology, where well-documented activities serve as the cornerstone for evaluating institutional performance,” he noted.
The Integrated Resource Information System (SISTER), already utilized by educators nationwide, functions as a digital archive for faculty members. However, decentralized activity documentation within higher education can pose challenges during evaluations by accreditation bodies. Data discrepancies may indicate inadequate quality assurance processes. In response, FBIS Dean Caturida Meiwanto D., SE., M.Akt., Ph.D., provided a hands-on introduction to the systematic recording of faculty histories for career advancement.
High-quality research aligned with the National Research Master Plan (RIRN) is a critical priority as it supports national interests. Poorly documented research conducted by faculty or students may lead to its exclusion during evaluations.
To ensure proper MoNEV, this initiative will continue for ten working days following the workshop, coordinated by UNDIRA’s Directorate of Human Resources, Catur added (Friday, 13/12/2024).
The workshop, attended by 41 faculty lecturers, this event coincided with the announcement of UNDIRA's "Excellent" accreditation status. This milestone signifies a major achievement for a university established just five years ago. With the VIP spirit embedded in every faculty and staff member, UNDIRA is committed to evolving as a quality-driven, inclusive educational institution that equips its graduates to tackle global challenges in the future.
