UNDIRA Receives Grant from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology: Recognition for Outstanding Achievement in Key Performance Indicators in Research and Innovation Program Throug

Jakarta, November 1, 2024 – Universitas Dian Nusantara (UNDIRA) proudly attended the Signing Ceremony for the Innovation Research Program in Learning as an Incentive for Achieving Key Performance Indicators for Private Universities, hosted by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology. The event, held from November 1 to 2, 2024, at The Sultan Hotel Jakarta, aimed to enhance the quality of education through technology-based learning innovations and support the achievement of eight established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
With a strong commitment to educational innovation and quality enhancement, Universitas Dian Nusantara was recognized for its impressive KPI achievements. At this event, UNDIRA received a grant to fund various research initiatives and learning innovation development in the form of a smart classroom.
The event was attended by Acting Secretary-General of Higher Education, Prof. Tjitjik Sri Tjahjandarie, Ph.D., Head of Administration of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Dr. Ir. Didi Rustam, S.Si., M.T.I, IPU, as well as representatives from the Higher Education Service Institute (LLDIKTI) Region III and several other private universities. UNDIRA was represented by Vice Rector I, Ir. Margono Sugeng, M.Sc., and Academic Director, Magito, SE., MM.
In her remarks, Prof. Tjitjik Sri Tjahjandarie, Ph.D., noted that of approximately 3,000 private universities in Indonesia, only 275 achieved outstanding KPI results and were eligible to receive this grant. The grants were divided into three clusters: Cluster 1 received support for small and micro-industry development as part of community-based downstream projects, while Clusters 2 and 3 received incentives for facilitating research and learning innovation based on each institution's KPI achievements to enhance learning quality. Universitas Dian Nusantara fell under Cluster 2, positioning it with significant opportunities for learning innovation. This aligns with the Ministry’s commitment, as outlined in Ministerial Decree No. 210 of 2023 on University KPIs, to apply KPIs not only to state universities but also to all higher education institutions across Indonesia.
This incentive is intended to be utilized prudently and effectively as part of sound university governance to encourage the advancement of higher education quality in Indonesia.
Vice Rector I of Universitas Dian Nusantara, Ir. Margono Sugeng, M.Sc., expressed his appreciation to the entire team at UNDIRA for their dedication, which has once again led to the university’s successful receipt of a national-level grant program. He also emphasized that UNDIRA will continue to foster a more innovative and effective learning environment to achieve high-quality and competitive education.
