Enhancing Research Programs and Community Engagement: UNDIRA's Collaborative Visit to Esa Unggul University

Thursday, October 10, 2024 – Universitas Dian Nusantara (UNDIRA) and Universitas Esa Unggul held a collaborative visit, initiated by the Cooperation Bureau, aimed at strengthening the partnership established since the signing of the MoU in 2003, to foster cooperation under the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
The meeting began with a welcome speech from Dr. Rilla Gantino, SE, Ak, MM, Vice Rector for Cooperation and Development of Universitas Esa Unggul. She appreciated the presence of the UNDIRA Cooperation Bureau Head, with the event also attended by representatives from each faculty of both universities.
Esa Unggul expressed its desire to expand cooperation in research, publications, and community engagement (PKM). The Vice Rector emphasized the importance of opening up collaborative opportunities, both nationally and internationally, with other universities, local governments, and NGOs.
During a dialogue with the West Jakarta Mayor, the Dean of Esa Unggul shared the university’s intention to assist several sub-districts in West Jakarta, identifying key areas where the universities could contribute as part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. Both universities aim to collaborate with the government in addressing social issues through community engagement initiatives.
Mr. Wahyu Budi, S.S., M.Sas., Head of the Cooperation Bureau of UNDIRA, expressed gratitude for Esa Unggul's warm reception and reaffirmed the commitment to enhance and expand the collaboration established in the initial consortium. He also supported the Vice Rector’s vision of cooperation in research, publications, faculty exchanges, and community engagement, aligning with UNDIRA's mission.
The event continued with the signing of a cooperation agreement and discussions on its implementation between the two institutions. Esa Unggul remains committed to broadening its collaboration with UNDIRA, focusing on research, community engagement, and joint publications.
Dr. Harlinda Syofyan, S.Si., M.Pd., Dean of FKIP, expressed hope for future collaborations in EduScience, particularly in journal publications. Mr. Ainur Rosyid, S.Pd.I., MA., Vice Dean of FKIP, voiced his interest in cooperation within the English Education Program and proposed a linguistic webinar with UNDIRA's English Literature Program.
Mr. Todo Sibuea, S.Pd., M.Hum., Head of UNDIRA’s English Literature Program, suggested exchanges of lecturers and students, while Ms. Sigit Mareta, S.E., M.Ak., Head of Accounting, proposed collaborations in community service and research, including faculty exchanges. Dr. Tantri Yanuar Rahmat Syah, SE, MSM, Dean of FEB, initiated joint projects in international conferences, research, community engagement (PKM), and academic publication.
Mrs. Ari Apriani, S.E., M.M., Head of LPPM at UNDIRA, shared her desire for collaboration in international conferences and national seminars. UNDIRA has 9 grants and 5 PKM projects that could be part of collaborative activities such as teaching clinics. The discussion marked the beginning of a mutually beneficial partnership, creating a lasting legacy of excellence for both institutions.
The Faculty of Education (FKIP) and the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of Universitas Esa Unggul are hopeful that this collaboration will bring benefits to both society and government, while strengthening the networking ties between UNDIRA and Universitas Esa Unggul.
