Educating with Wisdom Amidst The 4.0 and 5.0 Industry Advancements: Welcome to Hello Kampus

The third and final day of the new student orientation at Dian Nusantara University, "Hello Kampus," was marked by presentations focused on future planning and wisdom in learning.
The event was opened by Drs. Firmansyah M.Pd, Head of the Library and Archives Office of DKI Jakarta Province, who highlighted the importance of continually advancing education, especially in the transition from the industrial era 4.0 to 5.0. He emphasized the role of DISPUSIP in supporting the emancipation of literacy in society through various facilities, including libraries.
Drs. Firmansyah also reminded everyone that knowledge can be pursued anytime and anywhere, with the willpower being the key to self-improvement and helping others. He stressed the importance of maintaining integrity and humanistic values in the face of technological and globalization developments, particularly with the rapid advancement of AI.
In line with this, Vice-Rector II of Dian Nusantara University, Mr. Dwi Sapto Febriantaka M.A., underscored that while AI can be a research tool, its use must be accompanied by repeated evaluation, reasoning and validation to ensure the data produced is reliable. He emphasized the importance of two-way education or Student-Oriented Learning, which gives students the academic freedom to explore various case studies under the guidance of their lecturers.
Next, Mrs. Putri Ayienda Dinanti S.S., M.Hum, Head of Career Development and Alumni at UNDIRA, explained that university life is not only about acquiring knowledge but also about shaping the future through various campus activities. She stressed the importance of developing portfolios and CVs as a top priority for students. The use of Google Sites at UNDIRA, which allows students to showcase their projects, is one way to enhance recruitment potential.
Mr. Eriklex Donald S.E., MM, Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at UNDIRA, continued the discussion on future planning. He added that developing entrepreneurship and sound financial management are also keys to student success, ensuring that they are not only successful in their careers but also capable of managing their personal finances wisely.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Maya Sekartaji S.S., M.Sas., Head of the UNDIRA English Centre (UEC), emphasized the importance of English proficiency in facing global competition. UNDIRA provides English competency tests that help students graduate and equip them with competitive language skills.
In addition to these presentations, today's events also included the introduction of several student organizations at UNDIRA, including the Student Association (HIMA), Student Activity Units (UKM) such as UKM Sports, UKM Arts, and UKM Special Activities, as well as the PPKS Task Force, which serves as a supervisory body for teaching and learning activities at UNDIRA. New students are invited to join these activities to develop creativity and expand their networks.
In a session moderated by the PPKS, a presentation titled "Five Pillars of Anti Violence in a Campus: Strategies for Preventing Bullying, Sexual Violence, Drugs, and Corruption" was delivered by two speakers from Duta Genre Indonesia, Arkan Bintang Gunawan and Lidia Tri Rezeki. During the presentation, students were guided on various issues to avoid within the academic environment and what actions to take when encountering cases involving bullying or sexual violence.
In this session, students were also advised that having the courage to help others is a form of solidarity in protecting one another, especially in today's world where sexual violence and bullying can happen anywhere. Therefore, new students are encouraged to cultivate a sense of solidarity and the courage to do what is right in order to protect their peers.
As "Hello Kampus" reaches its conclusion, it is hoped that new students will be able to navigate university life as best as possible, paving the way for their future careers with the education they have acquired, and that they will be able to manage their lives more wisely.
