Eid al-Adha is a day that reminds Muslims of the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim's son, Ismail, to fulfil Allah's command. Ismail survived because at the last moment, thanks to the determination and sincerity between father and son, Allah SWT replaced Ismail with a sheep to be sacrificed. Aside from being a commemoration of history and learning, Eid al-Adha is a moment that the majority of people look forward to to share happiness, help others, and strengthen the relationship between community members.

In commemoration of Eid al-Adha 1445 H, Universitas Dian Nusantara (UNDIRA) celebrated Eid al-Adha 1445 H by slaughtering and distributing sacrificial meat to UNDIRA employees and the surrounding community. This activity took place on several campuses, including Tanjung Duren, Greenville, and Cibubur on Monday, 17 June 2024.

The Qurban committee not only consisted of UNDIRA staff, but also enthusiastic student volunteers who contributed significantly to this meaningful activity.

Dian Nusantara University sacrificed two cows and six goats on Eid al-Adha 1445 H. Two University cows were offered by fourteen UNDIRA employees, two goats were donated by UNDIRA leaders and lecturers, while the other four goats were donated by UNDIRA students. From several sacrificial animals, 420 packages of sacrificial meat were prepared to be distributed to employees, UNDIRA students and local residents around the campus.

Through this activity, it is hoped that it will not only be an event for religious rituals, but also a momentum to strengthen social ties, increase concern for each other, and foster a sense of gratitude for the blessings and sustenance that Allah SWT has given.
