Library Description

The Library is the implementing unit responsible for services and management of information resources, library material collections, and literacy for the academic community at the University level.

The Library is led by the Head of the Library, who operates under the authority of, and is accountable to, the Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs alongside Academic Drector of UNDIRA.

The Library Bureau has the following principal duties:
a. Develop the service and management system for the university library, covering both printed and digital collections.
b. Implement, monitor, and evaluate circulation services, reference services, and information literacy activities.
c. Provide technical services and library information to University leadership, lecturers, technical implementation units, and students.
d. Report on unit performance and evaluations for continuous improvement, following the principles of planning, setting standards, implementing programs, and evaluating programs and corrective actions.
e. Manage and refine collection data, membership records, and the library information system (including the digital library/Digilib Undira) in support of teaching, research, and community service activities. -
The Library has the following functions:
Coordinate the planning of the library service system with the Faculties, the Graduate School, and related work units under the guidance of Vice Rector I, covering: -
Circulation services (borrowing, returning, and renewal of library materials).

Library membership services for students, lecturers, and education staff.

Digital library access services (e-books, e-journals, repository) through Digilib Undira.

Management and development of library material collections in accordance with curriculum and research needs.

Information literacy guidance services and utilization of scholarly reference sources.

Online library administration services (online catalog/OPAC).
-
Development of systems, standards, mechanisms, and SOPs for library services.

Carry out program activities:

Borrowing and return services for library material collections.
-
Development and updating of print and digital collections according to the needs of study programs.

Organizing information literacy activities, reference-searching training, and guidance on the use of scholarly databases for students and lecturers.

Providing library information services to the academic community.

Managing the data-based repository of scholarly works (theses, dissertations, journals, research outputs).

Establishing cooperation and collaboration with various library institutions (e.g., the National Library, the Regional Library and Archives Office, and various university libraries) in order to update the collection service and circulation system.

Carry out reporting and follow-up:

Prepare an annual Library work program report as a form of accountability to the Rector through Vice Rector I, in accordance with applicable standards.

Carry out internal improvements to library services.

Recommend matters requiring follow-up by the Rector related to the development of the library's collections and facilities.

Report library administrative matters requested by relevant parties (e.g., LLDIKTI Region III).
