Jakarta, August 19, 2026 – An alumnus is a true embodiment of both pride and success for a university, representing not only competence but also excellence and readiness to serve the nation. More than just a symbol of achievement, alumni also embody the resilience and strength of lifelong connections that continue to endure.
Alumni serve as living testimonials, offering hope to future generations that their journey through higher education is not in vain, but rather part of a torch of perseverance that must be kept burning and passed down from one generation to the next.
Recognizing the importance of alumni, particularly in maintaining strong ties and serving as a source of motivation for current students, the Career and Alumni Bureau successfully established the very first board of the Universitas Dian Nusantara Alumni Association (IKA UNDIRA) for the 2025/2026 period on August 16, 2025. The founding members of IKA UNDIRA consist of several representatives of UNDIRA graduates: Gilbert Leonardo Devincie, Muhammad Faisal, Elisa Fitrianti Munawaroh, Denudin Sobari, Meta Islami, and Dwi Ambar Wati.
With the establishment of IKA UNDIRA, it is hoped that solidarity, camaraderie, and collaboration among alumni will be further strengthened. The presence of the Alumni Association is clear proof that the UNDIRA family continues to stand firm, support one another, and remain committed to contributing positively to the alma mater, society, and the nation.
To provide greater insight into the role of alumni associations and their importance in advancing a university, UNDIRA invited Mr. Ferdin Boy, Director of PT Deboer Kreasi Asia and a board member of IKA Trisakti, to share his experiences in a special session.
In his remarks, Mr. Ferdin Boy shared his experiences as part of the IKA Trisakti management board. He highlighted that serving as a representative who bridges alumni and students is both a highly strategic and noble responsibility. He emphasized that alumni can create valuable networking opportunities for students through sharing sessions, while also experiencing the joy and nostalgia of returning to their alma mater.
Behind the warm atmosphere of camaraderie and togetherness, Mr. Ferdin Boy candidly acknowledged one of the greatest challenges he faces as an active board member: balancing professional responsibilities with his role as an alumni representative. According to him, this challenge is not merely about time management but also about maintaining commitment to nurturing meaningful relationships with fellow alumni.
“Being an active member of an alumni association is not only about intention but also about the courage to balance professional duties with social responsibilities. It is there that I have learned that maintaining connections is a trust we must uphold, even amid a busy routine,” said Mr. Ferdin Boy.
The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, where both students and alumni gained valuable insights into how an alumni association truly plays a role in shaping the future of students as well as the university. Students expressed their hope that such activities will continue to be held consistently in the future.
