Boosting Income Streams of Grogol Utara MSMEs in the Digital Era, UNDIRA Holds Online Marketing Training for Local Residents

Jakarta, 13 Juli 2025 — Adaptation in the Era of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Digitalization has become a necessity for all sectors, including entrepreneurs. To help boost the revenue of MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) players in Grogol Utara through digitalization, Dian Nusantara University (UNDIRA) held an Online Marketing Training. The training took place on Jalan Pulo Kemuning, RT 003 RW 015, Grogol Utara Subdistrict, Kebayoran Lama District, South Jakarta.
This activity was a collaborative effort between local residents, students, and lecturers of Dian Nusantara University (UNDIRA), as part of the university’s community service initiative.
The training event was held on Sunday, 22nd of June 2025 and was attended by around 50 participants, including local residents and UNDIRA students. During the session, participants received practical and inspiring insights from two experienced speakers: Mr. Achmad Tarmizi, S.E., M.M., Mr. Luthfi Alhazami, S.E., M.M., Mrs. Irma Rahmawati, M.Sas., and Mr. Shieto, S.E., M.Ak.
Mr. Achmad Tarmizi, S.E., M.M. emphasized the importance of adapting to technological advancements as a means to expand markets and boost sales of local products. He also provided practical examples of how social media and e-commerce platforms can be used as effective marketing tools.
Meanwhile, Mr. Shieto, S.E., M.Ak. shared techniques and strategies for online marketing that are applicable to home-based businesses. He encouraged residents to start creating engaging content, understand digital consumer behavior, and build product branding through the internet. The training was met with great enthusiasm, with many participants expressing motivation to start small businesses by leveraging digital platforms.
One of the participants, Mrs. Rina, stated that the training broadened her knowledge and was highly relevant to today’s needs.
“We are truly grateful for the initiative by Universitas Dian Nusantara students who brought this valuable training to us. We hope similar activities can be held regularly to continuously support local economic development,” said Mr. Supriyadi, Head of RT 003 RW 015.
Through this program, the community is expected to be better prepared to face economic challenges in the digital era and to make the most of entrepreneurial opportunities through effective online marketing.
