Fostering Positive Values and Image: The Role of Achievements in Educational Institution Accreditation

09 Desember 2024

In the accreditation process, every element of an educational institution plays a crucial role in achieving the best assessment results. Academic and non-academic achievements, research, and community service programs are some of the contributions that determine the outcome of the accreditation assessment.

Since its establishment in 2019, Universitas Dian Nusantara (UNDIRA) students have made significant achievements in various fields, both academic and non-academic. In 2019, UNDIRA secured second place at the national level in one of the government’s events aimed at developing innovation across various sectors such as technology, economics, education, health, and energy, with the goal of supporting national development—the National Innovation Project (NIPRO) 2019 in Surabaya.

This success was followed by several notable achievements in 2020, starting with the Digital Competition of the West Java Regional Scout Organization, where one of UNDIRA's students, Mr. Sandy N. Lazuardi, won first place in the Video-Making category. Another achievement came from Mr. Rodika Utama, who won first place in the Physics category at the Provincial Level of the Sobat Bumi Competition, Science category. UNDIRA also achieved an A grade in the Biology field at the National Biophys Scholars Olympiad in 2023, earned by Ms. Imelia Santika. In 2023, seven students also brought pride to UNDIRA at the 5th Bandung Lautan Api National Championship.

In addition to academic achievements, UNDIRA has also produced athletes who have won medals in championships. The Koni Cup Series Taekwondo is one of UNDIRA's proud accomplishments. In this event, the UNDIRA Pencak Silat student group secured top positions in the beginner and promotion categories. Furthermore, UNDIRA achieved third place in the National University MTQ (Qur'an Reading Competition) during the 24th Dies Natalis, through Mr. Arifin’s fluency.

Moreover, five UNDIRA lecturers secured funding from DIKTI through the 2024 Beginner Community Service Grant Program (PMP), funded by the Directorate of Research, Technology, and Community Service (DRTPM). One of these lecturers, Mrs. Ari Apriani, M.M., with her team, conducted the community service activity titled "Improving the Competitiveness of Kemuning Mandiri MSME Products" in Cogreg Village, Bogor Regency. This initiative aimed to improve the competitiveness of the Kemuning Mandiri MSME products, and the team successfully rebranded the products while providing insights on online market share.

This also supports the Tri Dharma of Higher Education program, adding value to the accreditation process. UNDIRA demonstrates its commitment to offering research opportunities for lecturers and implementing these initiatives within the community.

The Rector of Universitas Dian Nusantara, Prof. Dr. H. Suharyadi, expressed full support for the outstanding achievements in both academic and non-academic fields. He is committed to continuing to support innovation and creativity for both lecturers and students, including through the provision of scholarships for outstanding students.

By maximizing the potential of achievements from students and lecturers, UNDIRA not only meets accreditation standards but also builds a strong educational foundation to remain competitive. This strategy supports the institution's sustainability in providing high-quality education for the future of Indonesia.
