Portrait of Graduate Readiness to Face the Workforce: UNDIRA Holds Dissemination for Tracer Study 2024

Jakarta, October 2, 2024 - A Tracer Study Dissemination event was held on the 6th floor of Universitas Dian Nusantara, Tanjung Duren, West Jakarta. This event was organized by the Career Development and Alumni Bureau of Universitas Dian Nusantara as a form of support and survey for evaluating the educational development provided by the institution in accordance with labor market needs and demands. This includes examining the relevance of the curriculum to the competencies required in the industry.
The event was presented by Ms. Putri Ayienda Dinanti, M.Hum, who mentioned that the Tracer Study is implemented for the 2023 graduates of Universitas Dian Nusantara. The questions posed in the Tracer Study form refer to the KEMDIKBUD standards as the basis for higher education ranking through the official KEMDIKBUD Tracer Study website and are created in accordance with the provisions of the Career Development and Alumni Bureau of UNDIRA, in a Google Form format given to the graduates.
Through this Tracer Study Dissemination, there were 352 alumni respondents who filled out the provided Google Form. The data shows that Management had the highest percentage of respondents at 44%, while Civil Engineering had 3.8%. These results reflect the number of graduates who participated in the survey. The survey also represents the employment levels and geographical distribution of the graduates.
The data indicates a variety of employment absorption rates, with different job-seeking times. Of the respondents, 78.7% successfully entered the workforce, 16.8% of graduates are currently looking for jobs, 2.7% are self-employed, and 1.7% have not yet secured employment for various reasons.
The workplace and institutions of employment are also factors focused on in the Tracer Study report. The survey reveals that graduates prefer to work in the Jabodetabek area, with the highest percentage of respondents coming from West Jakarta at 22.8%, while an average of 0.4% chose to work outside Jabodetabek and abroad. The job sectors also include a variety of fields, with 71.5% working in the private sector, 1.7% in government institutions, and 1.4% in state-owned enterprises (BUMN/BUMD).
With the dissemination of the Tracer Study report conducted by UNDIRA, more than half of the respondents stated that the quality of educational learning has a significant impact on their career support. The survey also indicates that the majority of respondents believe that what they learned influences the jobs they undertake.
It is hoped that this dissemination of alumni data will serve as a long-term reference for Universitas Dian Nusantara to foster and enhance the quality of education in order to produce graduates who can achieve success.
