Your future is not determined by where you study: Hello Student: WEBINAR#3

It is undeniable that one of the goals of going to university is to gain better career prospects, so choosing a university is generally a highly considered factor. Coupled with the common belief that prestigious universities will be the determining factor for future career success, a recent study assesses that factors such as work experience, relevant skills, and social networks will be far more important in building a successful career than the prestige of educational institutions.

Bapak Muhammad Irham Luthfi, M.Si, MM

Based on this phenomenon, the Marketing Bureau of Dian Nusantara University invites students who will continue to college to find the truth of this assumption through webinar series #3 held on 29 June 2024, with the theme "Your Future is Not Determined by Where Your Campus is" which presents Mr Muhammad Irham Luthfi, M.Si, MM as Partner Acquisition Manager of Sour Sally and the best graduate of Dian Nusantara University Riki Aprianto, M.Sc as speakers at this event.

On this occasion, the speaker said that college is a process of perfecting experience. Thus, we can study anywhere and still utilise the opportunity to improve several important elements in achieving success, namely soft skills, character, and networking. "Therefore, friends do not need to worry about where to study. As long as there is an opportunity to pursue higher education, do your best to enrich your experience. Make the lecture period a time to develop soft skills, build a strong character, and expand networking," said Sour Sally's Partner Acquisition Manager.

Readiness for success is a process that should not be ignored; one way to achieve this is by understanding the job prospects needed in the future. Mr Irham also explained that in the next five years there are at least five career fields that will dominate greatly:

  1. Technology and Digitalisation: Gaming, Blockchain, Graphic Design, Digital Content, and Animation

  2. Creative Economy: Music, Film, Fashion, and MSMEs

  3. Green Jobs: Organic Farming and Green Products, will also create new job opportunities.

  4. Health and Wellness; Increased focus on personal health and well-being creates opportunities in the health, telemedicine, fitness and nutrition sectors.

  5. Entrepreneurship and Startups

UNDIRA Marketing Bureau hopes that this event will provide additional insights to the students and be a source of motivation, encouraging them to remain diligent in their pursuit of success throughout their upcoming academic journey.
