Hello Student: WEBINAR #1 College or Work First?

For high school students who have just finished school, directly entering the world of work or continuing their studies to the undergraduate level is not an easy choice, careful consideration is needed according to their needs and financial capabilities. Of course, this big dilemma is influenced by various factors such as the cost of education, family and socio-economic support, to the influence of the surrounding environment or peers.

This is an opportunity that needs to be considered by various educational institutions, especially universities, to provide comprehensive career guidance so that students can understand the benefits of higher education to various career paths that can help students make the best decisions after graduating from school.

Based on this need, the Dian Nusantara University (UNDIRA) Marketing Bureau organized the Hello Student program, a seminar event held online which was attended by high school / vocational high school students from various schools on May 24, 2024, Hello Student Series 1 has the theme “College or Work First?”.

This event was organized with the aim of providing in-depth education to students about the choices that are being faced by students who have just graduated from school, between working or continuing their education in college. In addition, this event is expected to help provide comprehensive and useful insights for SMA / SMK students in making the right decision for their future.

Hello Student Series 1 “College or Work First?” was attended by the Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Dian Nusantara University who also acted as a resource person, Mr. Eriklex Sahusilawane, SE, MM. In his presentation to fellow students, Mr. Erik conveyed several points, but what attracted attention was about “Money, Link, Science”.  He gave students an understanding that Science (Science), Link (Network), and Money (Money) will be interrelated “Every graduate will definitely look for Money (Money), and to get more money (income) what is needed is Link (Network) and also Science (Science)” said the Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship UNDIRA.

Through an approach like this, it is hoped that it can be the right step, to build the confidence of high school / vocational students in determining the next step after finishing school through careful consideration. Whether choosing to continue education or work directly.
