The Certified Independent Study & Internship (MSIB) Batch 7 program has opened. Registration for the MSIB Batch 7 program is open from April 26 to June 10, 2024.

The Internship and Certified Independent Study (MSIB) program is a comprehensive career preparation program and provides opportunities for students to study outside the study program with guaranteed conversion of SKS recognized by the university.

Independent Study is a program that provides opportunities for students to learn specific and practical competencies directly from experts for 1 (one) semester through learning activities and hands-on practice. Meanwhile, MSIB Internship is an internship program directly supervised by the Ministry of Education and Culture Ristek for 1 (one) semester to gain work experience and knowledge of best practices in the industrial world.

MSIB Batch 7 Registration Requirements

Based on information on the official KEMDIKBUD Merdeka Campus page, here are some terms and conditions for registering for the MSIB Batch 7 Program that students need to know.

1. General Requirements (Students)

• Students from all over Indonesia
• Students from all majors with any campus accreditation in Indonesia - provided that the campus is under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology.
• Active students at the D2 / D3 / D4 / S1 level or not yet graduated and willing not to be graduated during the MSIB period with the following semester conditions when registering for the MSIB program: for D2 / D3 / D4 students at least semester 2, while for S1 students at least semester 4
• Student data is registered in PDDikti and has a match between the name in PDDikti and the name on the KTP.
• Students with a National Student Identification Number (NISN) registered in Dapodik and verified in the Kampus Merdeka account.

2. Document Requirements

• Curriculum Vitae using PDF file format. There is no standard template for this document, students can make it with their own creativity.
• Latest Transcript of Values if the latest transcript is not yet available, please use the last transcript and then update the document via the "Complete Documents" menu in the Student account when the new transcript is available.
• University Recommendation Letter signed by (Rector / Chairman / Director, Vice Rector / Deputy Chairman / Deputy Director / Dean / Deputy Dean or other officials in accordance with the applicable provisions in each university)
• Statement of Absolute Responsibility (SPTJM) signed by (Rector / Chair / Director, Vice Rector / Deputy Chair / Deputy Director / Dean / Deputy Dean or other officials in accordance with the applicable provisions in each college).
• Photo / Scan of KTP make sure the scan is clear and not blurry.
• Certificate of organizational experience (optional) If you want to attach several certificates, please combine them into one .PDF file with a maximum size of 5MB.

3. Other Requirements

• Students are expected to undergo the program full time (full time) and are committed to implementing and completing the MSIB program until completion.
• Ready to travel across districts / cities / provinces if needed according to the placement determined by the Partner and willing to do booster vaccinations for mobilization purposes.
• Students who are Bidik Misi scholarship recipients / KIP (Smart Indonesia Card) recipients / other scholarship recipients from the Ministry of Education and Culture and Research can participate in the internship program provided that the amount of living expenses received is the difference from the living expenses received from the Ministry of Education and Culture and Research scholarship.
• Declare themselves to be committed during the program.

The MSIB program will be held for one semester (6 months). During the program, students will receive benefits in the form of living expenses, transportation, and mentorship.

Through the MSIB program, students will gain work experience in the industrial world, get direct guidance from professional and experienced mentors in their fields, and get the opportunity to be recruited directly in the company. In MSIB batch 7 there was an increase in the number of MSIB Internship quotas, which originally in batch 6 was 21,950 quotas to 33,610 quotas. While in Independent Study there was a decrease in quota from 26,034 quota in batch 6 to 16,000 in batch 7.

In the previous MSIB Batch 6 program, there were UNDIRA students who had participated in the internship program. The student is Zahra Ramadhania Desliyadi, a 6th semester Accounting study program student who is currently undergoing an MSIB internship at PT PLN (PERSERO), to be precise at PLN UID Jakarta Raya, UP3 Kebon Jeruk, with placement in the Junior Officer of Receivables Management section. He feels very lucky to be part of the independent campus MSIB program. Through this opportunity he advised; "I feel grateful because through this internship program it gives me the opportunity to experience the world of work firsthand".

She continued to comment "Although I encountered many challenges, especially related to the placement in the Commerce division which is slightly different from my field of study, I really enjoyed the experience. I feel that I have gained new learning in an environment that I have never experienced before, expanded connections with many people, and of course feel very lucky to be part of the MSIB Kampus Merdeka program." said Zahra. In addition, he also encouraged fellow students to also take part in the Internship and Certified Independent Study (MSIB) program because there are so many experiences to be gained.
