Jakarta, September 15, 2026 — Strengthening unity through regeneration and fostering a shared vision. As part of its efforts to strengthen student organizations and ensure the continuity of student aspirations, on September 12, 2026, the Student Organizations of Universitas Dian Nusantara (ORMAWA UNDIRA), together with the Bureau of Student Affairs, held the Inauguration Ceremony for the 2026–2027 Term. Taking place at UNDIRA’s Tanjung Duren Campus in West Jakarta, the leadership transition ceremony was attended by 178 participants and was met with great enthusiasm.

In attendance at the inauguration ceremony were Vice Rector I, Ir. Margono Sugeng, M.Sc.; Vice Rector II, Mr. Dwi Sapto Febriantaka, M.A.; Vice Rector III, Dr. Ir. Muhammad Hasanuddin Thoyieb, M.M.; Director of Student Affairs, Career Development and Alumni, Mr. Norman Yachya, S.T., M.M.; Director of Public Relations, Marketing and Partnerships, Mr. Imam Priyono, S.T., M.M.; Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics (FTI), Dr. Arie Pangesti Aji, Ph.D.; Dean of the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, Mr. Harjono Padmono Putro, S.T., M.Kom.; Head of the Student Affairs Bureau, Mr. Anton Kurniawan, S.P., M.M.; as well as all Heads and Secretaries of Study Programs and Advisors of UNDIRA’s Student Activity Units (UKM).

Opening the ceremony, Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs, Ir. Margono Sugeng, M.Sc., emphasized that taking on an organizational position is not merely a ceremonial transfer of authority. Rather, it represents a responsibility and a form of regeneration that can further strengthen unity among all students of Universitas Dian Nusantara.

“Synergy is not built solely through authority or empirical data. It also grows from unity and the trust entrusted to the best representatives to carry forward the regeneration of our student organizations. Speaking of regeneration, I hope that through this leadership transition, we can foster a strong educational ecosystem that is able to accommodate and support student aspirations, both academically and non-academically,” he said.

Echoing Ir. Margono Sugeng, M.Sc., Vice Rector III for Public Relations, Student Affairs, Career and Alumni Development, Marketing, and Partnerships, Dr. Ir. Muhammad Hasanuddin Thoyieb, M.M., also shared a message on the essence of leadership. He emphasized that true leadership does not begin solely with technical expertise or a list of achievements, but with strong character, integrity, and a broad perspective that can enrich others and create a positive impact throughout a leader’s tenure.

“I would also like to extend my appreciation to all the new leaders inaugurated today, from the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of the Student Executive Board (BEM), Student Associations (HIMA), to the Student Activity Units (UKM), who remain committed to carrying out their responsibilities to the best of their abilities and bringing pride to the Universitas Dian Nusantara community. As the Indonesian proverb says, ‘the fuller the rice grain, the more it bows.’ The same principle applies to true leadership. Leadership is not measured by how high one’s position is, but by the strength of character to remain humble and faithful to the responsibilities entrusted to them. The positions you assume today should not be regarded as the pinnacle of achievement, but rather as the starting point for continuously developing yourselves,” he said.

Following Dr. Ir. Muhammad Hasanuddin Thoyieb's reflective message, the newly appointed representatives of BEM, HIMA from each Study Program, and the UKM management boards were officially inaugurated based on the decrees that had been solemnly read. Their appointment was warmly welcomed by all participants.

The historic occasion was further marked by the presentation of organizational attributes to the newly appointed leaders. More than an administrative ceremony signifying the transition from one term of office to another, the moment carried a greater hope for the continued growth and development of UNDIRA’s entire student community. As echoed throughout the ceremony, true leadership is not born from power or position, but from humility and steadfastness in carrying out one’s responsibilities.

Therefore, the inauguration of ORMAWA UNDIRA for the 2026–2027 term is not an ending, but the beginning of a long journey to prove that the trust entrusted to these new leaders can be answered through meaningful action. May the “Shared Vision” embodied in this year’s theme go beyond being merely a ceremonial slogan and instead become a driving force for collaboration and service throughout every corner of Universitas Dian Nusantara, today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.
