Supporting the development of entrepreneurial skills and capabilities in students is an obligation that every university must fulfill. It is hoped that these budding entrepreneurs will contribute to job creation after graduation, thereby helping to increase the income of the national economic sector. Recognizing this potential, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (MoEC Ristek) has introduced several programs designed to provide students with opportunities for skills enhancement and competency development beyond their respective study programs. These initiatives include the Program Pembinaan Mahasiswa Wirausaha (P2MW) and the Student Creativity Program (PKM).

To facilitate entrepreneurship and creativity among students, with funding from the Ministry of Education and Culture Ristek and provide business training, UNDIRA organizes Grant Assistance Coaching (P2MW) and (PKM). Mr. Wachyu Hari Haji, S.Kom, MM, MPM, CHRA - National Reviewer - Entrepreneurial Student Development Program (P2MW) and Student Creativity Program (PKM) acted as a resource person. This event was organized by the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at the Dian Nusantara University Hall. Not only attended by students but also accompanied by various lecturers to support or guide them in preparing P2MW or PkM program proposals.

Dr. Wachyu shared his insights on writing proposals that are easy to get approval by emphasizing not only on the content but also technical aspects such as fonts and spacing which are universally required for all P2MW participants as these are very important in addition to the innovative ideas presented in the proposal.

He emphatically stated: "Countless academic institutions submit proposals that only focus on innovation without paying attention to the way they are written which makes us inevitably have to reject their efforts." This further strengthens our conviction to give equally important attention to creative concepts and effective communication when developing future grant applications.

Dr. Wachyu strongly hopes and supports that UNDIRA students are able to expand their creative horizons into various fields, including technology. This is supported by the fact that many PKM submitted by students focus on food-related ideas, while technological innovations are still not widely explored. Such innovative endeavors can lead to the development of applications with wider community appeal and usage.

Through Grant Assistance Coaching (P2MW) and (PKM), UNDIRA students are expected to be able to work coherently and create synergies that foster a conducive environment that is ideal for growing entrepreneurs who are creativity-oriented and ready to compete boldly in the business world as well as in industry circles. In this regard, the goal envisioned by Dr. Wachyu is aligned with the institution's broader goal - graduating smart individuals who are not only ready but also able to thrive in the dynamic global business landscape.

P2MW is a comprehensive entrepreneurship development program for students who already have a business. The program facilitates business development by providing financial support, structured mentorship, and targeted training to participating students. P2MW participants have the opportunity to join the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) entrepreneurship program in higher education launched by Nadiem Anwar Makarim as Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Mendikbud Ristek). The P2MW framework can be applied across six business categories: food services, agriculture, digital commerce, manufacturing & applied technology, tourism & trade services, and creative arts & culture industries.

Also integral to the program designed by MoEC is the Student Creativity Program (PKM), which aims to encourage student creativity and innovation. These areas are indispensable in shaping students' character as well as the thought processes and activities that promote their growth. PKM targets the enhancement of academic or professional capabilities among higher education students; which then enables them to apply, advance, and disseminate knowledge in various fields including science, technology, and/or the arts while enriching our national culture.

PKM covers eight focus areas: research in the social humanities and exact sciences, entrepreneurship, community service, technology application, creative insight, scientific articles, and written ideas. Both programs offer different benefits, which depend on the interests and needs of the students. If a student shows an inclination to develop their business, P2MW will emerge as the right choice. On the other hand, if a student wants to develop creativity and innovation, PKM can be the right choice.
