Enhancing Literacy and Insight into Green-Tech, UNDIRA’s Electrical Engineering Study Program Conducts Community Service at Quantum Idea Islamic Boarding School
Jakarta, June 23, 2026 – In an era marked by rapid digitalization and the widespread adoption of the Internet of Things (IoT) across various industries, strengthening technological literacy and understanding of electronics has become a crucial priority for the younger generation.
Driven by this commitment, the Electrical Engineering Study Program of Dian Nusantara University (UNDIRA) organized a Community Service Program (PkM) at Quantum Idea Islamic Boarding School in Bekasi on Saturday, April 11, 2026.
The community service initiative focused on several key themes, including the introduction of environmentally friendly alternative energy through alternator-based energy systems and the implementation of microcontroller-based sensor technologies. According to the Head of the Electrical Engineering Study Program, Dr. Arie Pangesti Aji, the selected topics reflect the commitment of the entire academic community within the Electrical Engineering Study Program to broaden public understanding of technological applications and provide practical solutions amid the growing energy challenges experienced worldwide over recent decades.
"In my view, this community service activity offers benefits that are not only impactful but also long-lasting. It reflects Dian Nusantara University's commitment to supporting the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi). Furthermore, we hope this initiative can inspire communities to transform the challenges posed by the energy crisis into a movement toward renewable and environmentally sustainable energy transformation," he stated.
In response to Dr. Arie Pangesti Aji’s remarks, representatives of Quantum Idea Islamic Boarding School expressed their appreciation for the collaboration and innovation demonstrated by the Electrical Engineering Study Program of Dian Nusantara University. They acknowledged the program’s contribution to empowering local communities in identifying effective solutions to the increasingly pressing energy crisis through practical education in electronics and emerging technologies.
The program continued with comprehensive presentations of the innovations developed by several Electrical Engineering lecturers involved in the community service initiative, namely Mr. Randy Rahmanto, S.T., M.T., Ms. Belinda Ayuningtyas, S.T., M.T., Ms. Ganjar Febriyani Pratiwi, S.T., M.T., Mr. Sulistyo Widodo, S.T., M.T., and Mr. Riesa Syariful Akbar, S.T., M.T.

The students enthusiastically welcomed and carefully observed various innovations showcased during the session, including energy converters, alternator-based energy systems, and microcontroller-based sensor implementations. In addition, the participants were introduced to live demonstrations featuring temperature control systems, liquid level monitoring systems, and adaptive garden lighting powered by real-time weather data through the integration of IoT and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies.

To conclude the community service program, the lecturers conducted an interactive question-and-answer session with the students, followed by a group photo session to strengthen the sense of togetherness and collaboration fostered throughout the event.
As part of efforts to reinforce future research collaboration, the Electrical Engineering Study Program also proposed the signing of a cooperation agreement, with the hope that both institutions can work together to advance education and technological development through a synergistic partnership.
Through this initiative, the students are expected to gain a deeper understanding of technological advancements while being encouraged to continuously innovate and pursue excellence in engineering and digital technology.
