UNDIRA Enhances the Academic Ecosystem Together with the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law
Jakarta, May 13, 2026 – Strengthening innovation and the spirit of research in the educational sector has become increasingly essential today. This effort is aimed at reducing the spread of misinformation while facilitating the downstreaming and dissemination of knowledge to society, ultimately fostering a sustainable academic ecosystem in line with the vision and mission of the Higher Education Tri Dharma.
At the same time, in supporting the continuity of high-quality information distribution, a strong framework for intellectual property protection is also necessary to encourage innovation and create a safe publication environment for academics, especially in the digital era where plagiarism can easily occur.
This initiative encouraged Universitas Dian Nusantara (UNDIRA), together with the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta, to explore a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening the education sector and Community Service (PkM).
The exploratory collaboration was carried out directly at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta in Cawang, East Jakarta, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Vice Rector IV of Universitas Dian Nusantara, Prof. Ir. Asri Nugrahanti, M.S., Ph.D., IPU, ASEAN Eng., who attended the signing ceremony between UNDIRA and the Jakarta Regional Office of the Ministry of Law, emphasized that behind the development of strong literacy lies the necessity of a solid foundation to protect the intellectual property rights of publishers and academics.

“Strengthening the Higher Education Tri Dharma is not only about education and research, but also about ensuring that every idea, innovation, and academic work receives proper legal protection in the digital era. Through this collaboration, UNDIRA and the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law aim to create a safe, productive, and visionary academic environment for the academic community to continue creating and innovating,” stated Prof. Asri Nugrahanti.
Furthermore, the collaboration with the Jakarta Regional Office of the Ministry of Law also emphasizes intensive support for the development of Human Resources (HR), which functions to align data exchange, facilitate the registration of intellectual works, improve archival information management in the field of intellectual property, and strengthen the optimization of the Intellectual Property Center (Sentra KI) as the primary intellectual property management unit at UNDIRA.
Moving forward, this collaboration is expected to open broader opportunities for more progressive innovation and research development while increasing awareness of the importance of intellectual property within higher education institutions.
With a continued commitment to visionary values, integrity, and professionalism, Universitas Dian Nusantara remains dedicated to fostering an academic culture that not only excels in the advancement of knowledge, but is also capable of protecting, managing, and utilizing intellectual works for the progress of society and the nation.
