Through Poetry Sues Politicians

The campaign ahead of the presidential election on February 14, 2024 began to be intensively carried out by a number of political parties, presidential and vice presidential candidates to legislative candidates (caleg). Various kinds of methods are used to get the votes of people who are only selfish. It is hoped that the community can play an active role in preventing some negative issues and be able to respond to the promises of the parties offered.
To respond to the above phenomenon, Yudhistira Ardi Nugraha Moelyana Massardi or better known as Yudhistira ANM Massardi is an Indonesian writer and author of various types of literary works (novels, short stories, poetry, and soap opera scripts). Yudhistira ANM Massardi, who was born on February 28, 1954 in Karanganyar, Subang, West Java, held another Literary Safari with the theme "Poetry Gugat Politisi". By inviting students to use their soft skills in producing positive works in the form of poetry to voice the current situation. This Literary Safari has been carried out since December 7, 2023. It aims to voice his unrest in the current political year, where Yudhistira is very worried about the phenomena that are happening. In addition, Yudhistira hopes that this literary safari can encourage young artists to rise up and return to work. Working by using the disciplines they get during college.
In this literary safari, Dian Nusantara University had the opportunity to host the 7th Yudhistira Literary Safari which was held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at the Dian Nusantara University Hall, Tanjung Duren Campus, West Jakarta. Yudhistira was accompanied by Renny Djajoesman, a legendary Indonesian rocker and Yuka Mandiri, an Indonesian female poetry reader, who is also the eldest daughter of legendary Indonesian rocker Renny Djajoesman.
In some of his poems, Yudhistira emphasized that he only wanted the prospective leaders of this country to implement one of the articles in the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, which is contained in article one of article 33 paragraph 3 which reads "The land and water and the natural resources contained therein shall be under the control of the state and shall be used for the greatest prosperity of the people". Yudhistira feels that so far the nation's leaders have never implemented this article. "From the Soeharto era, I feel that there has never been a leader who runs all articles, at least article 33 paragraph 3, through poetry I hope we will get a leader who can run all articles, at least one article," he said.
On this occasion, at least 10 poems by Yudhistira were displayed and read by Renny Djajoesman, Yuka Mandiri, and lecturers and students of Dian Nusantara University. In one of the poems read with the title "Gorinik" which alludes to the current state of our country which is likened to a three-headed dragon that has sharp teeth that are used to pounce on its enemies, this is an illustration for conglomerates, officials, and representatives of the people who are never concerned with the interests of their people but rather oppress for all the interests that benefit themselves.
Yudhistira's Literary Safari is aimed at Gen-Z college students, who will be voters in the February 14, 2024 elections. This Literary Safari will also be held on various campuses in several cities. For the first stage, it will be held on 5 (five) campuses in the Jabodetabek and West Java regions. In the next stage, still seeing conditions if possible, this Literary Safari will be continued to campuses in Central Java and East Java before the February 14, 2024 election is held.
