Fostering Togetherness Amidst Ramadan 1447 H: The Resumption of the 'UNDIRA Shares Blessings' Initiative at the Tanjung Duren Campus
Jakarta, March 4, 2026 – The blessed month perpetually brings warmth, togetherness, and grace among us all. During this Holy Month of Ramadan 1447 H, as an endeavor to strengthen communal bonds (silaturahmi), Dian Nusantara University (UNDIRA) successfully re-organized the UNDIRA Berbagi Berkah (UNDIRA Shares Blessings) initiative at Tanjung Duren Campus, West Jakarta on Tuesday, 3rd of March 2026.
UNDIRA Berbagi Berkah is an annual event inspired by the ethos of Ramadan. This agenda involves the distribution of charitable contributions to approximately 60 underprivileged individuals, alongside orphans from the community surrounding UNDIRA and the Yatim and Dhuafa Foundation in the South Tanjung Duren area, West Jakarta.
The event was also attended by VIP guests comprising local government officials and representatives of the "Three Pillars" (3 Pilar) from the Grogol Petamburan and Kebon Jeruk sub-districts: the Commander of the 03 Grogol Petamburan Military Rayon Command – Infantry Major Manatap Rajagukguk, S.E., M.H., M.M., and the Commander of the 05 Kebon Jeruk Military Rayon Command – Infantry Major Irwan Triyono.
Prof. Dr. H. Suharyadi, the Rector of Dian Nusantara University, who attended in person alongside the extended UNDIRA academic community, VIP guests, and the 60 Dhuafa (underprivileged) participants, expressed his profound gratitude for the blessings bestowed by Allah SWT, enabling the realization of this year's UNDIRA Berbagi Berkah.
He articulated that although the commencement of 2026 was marked by tragedies impacting infrastructure and livelihoods globally, such adversities must not extinguish our collective spirit, particularly in the pursuit of knowledge. Educational institutions intrinsically play a pivotal role in rekindling the spirit of the younger generation amidst these crises, fostering the hope that society can progress toward a more prosperous era in the future.
Similar sentiments were echoed by Raditian Ramajaya, S.STP., M.AP., the Head of the Kebon Jeruk Sub-district, West Jakarta, who expressed his appreciation for UNDIRA's unwavering commitment and consistency—not only in advancing the educational sector but also in fortifying the resilience of the youth during these critical junctures.

"As articulated by Prof. Suharyadi, the beginning of 2026 has indeed not been an easy period to navigate. However, witnessing UNDIRA's consistency in providing scholarship programs reinforces the conviction that the education sector continues to diligently build the nation through educational accessibility. It is hoped that through the current Berbagi Berkah initiative, numerous families will have the opportunity to secure comprehensive scholarships at Dian Nusantara University," he stated.
Embracing the spirit of philanthropy, the entire UNDIRA academic community participated in distributing alms in the form of care packages to the orphans and the underprivileged. This procession was led by the Rector of Dian Nusantara University, accompanied by the First Vice-Rector, Margono Sugeng, M.Sc., and the Second Vice-Rector, Dwi Sapto Febriantaka, MA.

The sequence of the UNDIRA Berbagi Berkah program was subsequently enriched with a spiritual sermon (Tausiyah) prior to the communal breaking of the fast (Iftar), delivered by Ustadz Jalaludin Akbar. In his sermon, he reminded the audience that amidst the current global turbulence, humanity is once again confronted with feelings of fear and anxiety.
"Due to anxiety and fear—whether regarding the future or past events—we are frequently faced with dilemmas that culminate in an inability to cultivate gratitude for the blessings endowed by Allah SWT. When discussing blessings, we must not ruminate excessively on what has transpired or what is yet to come; rather, we must instill a profound conviction within our hearts that Allah SWT is perennially with us," he remarked.
Addressing the modern predicaments that plague society with apprehension, Ustadz Jalaludin Akbar drew upon Surah Yunus, verse 62. He emphasized that with absolute awareness and faith in Allah's perpetual presence in every step we take, we can be assured that the journeys and lives we traverse are not merely comprising hardships or obligations, but rather constitute profound blessings designed to remind us of the essence of life and to elevate our faith.
The resonant call to the Maghrib prayer subsequently marked the culmination of the UNDIRA Berbagi Berkah proceedings. Through this annually convened initiative, Dian Nusantara University (UNDIRA) continually demonstrates its steadfast dedication, extending beyond the academic realm to encompass the cultivation of social solidarity and philanthropic engagement. Collectively, humanity possesses the capacity to enact positive and consequential change.
