Improving Research Quality and Community Service: UNDIRA Launches PKM Guidebook and Support Website

Jakarta, September 20, 2024 — The Research and Community Service Institute (LRPM) of Dian Nusantara University (UNDIRA) organized a socialization event for the Research and Community Service (PKM) guidebook for the 2024/2025 academic year, along with an educational session on the SI-RPM website services, launched on Friday, September 20, 2024. The event, held online via Zoom, aimed to provide an understanding to UNDIRA faculty about the procedures, criteria, and mechanisms for submitting research and community service proposals.

The event was attended by Ir. Margono Sugeng, M.Sc., Vice Rector I of Dian Nusantara University, Dr. Ir. Muhammad Hanafi, MBA, IPU, Director of LRPM, Ari Apriani, SE., MM, Head of LRPM Bureau, Caturida Meiwanto Doktoralina, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, Desi Ramayanti, S.Kom., M.T., Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics, along with other top officials and permanent lecturers of UNDIRA.

The event was opened by Mr. Ir. Margono Sugeng, M.Sc., who emphasized the importance of research and community service (PKM) as two main pillars of the university's Tri Dharma. He also conveyed that the guidebook, prepared by LRPM, was expected to help the lecturers improve the quality and quantity of their research and community service initiatives.

During the presentation by Ms. Ari Apriani, SE., MM, she explained that all revisions and improvements in the procedures for Research and Community Service for the 2024/2025 period were outlined in the guidebook, which was aligned with the format provided by the Directorate General of Higher Education (DIKTI).

Dr. Ir. Muhammad Hanafi, MBA, IPU, further elaborated on key aspects such as the locus, activity details, scientific publications, book writing, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), the role of executing partners, and other elements that support the success of research and community service programs.

“There are several aspects in the Research and Community Service (PKM) Roadmap, including locus, activity details, publications, books, IPR, executing partners, and others that support the success of the PKM program,” explained Dr. Ir. Muhammad Hanafi, MBA, IPU.

Following the presentation on the revised guidelines for community service procedures, there was a socialization session on the use of the SI-RPM website, which supports PKM activities from LRPM. The session was led by Reza Pahlevi Haikal, S.Kom, who explained the mechanisms of the SI-RPM website, covering aspects such as registration, proposal submission, final report submission, and the process of publishing research and community service reports.

Through the SI-RPM website, lecturers can submit research and community service proposals, track their submission progress, and upload final reports for both research and community service activities. This website is part of UNDIRA's efforts to support the digitization and modernization of educational administrative systems.

With the socialization of the PKM guidebook and the SI-RPM website training, it is hoped that UNDIRA faculty will gain a better understanding of the procedures and regulations for PKM, leading to improved quality and efficiency in carrying out the university's Tri Dharma.
