Fostering Partnerships and Strengthening Inter-Institutional Academic Networks: UNDIRA Explores Collaboration with Nizhyn Gogol State University
Jakarta, February 16, 2026 – The landscapes of research and education are in a state of constant evolution. In this dynamic environment, inter-institutional collaboration serves not only to enhance the competency of organizational Human Resources but also to drive the development of research and innovations intended for the public good.
In alignment with these objectives, on Friday, February 13, 2026, Universitas Dian Nusantara (UNDIRA) initiated a collaborative partnership with Nizhyn Gogol State University, a prominent institution based in Kyiv, Ukraine. Conducted virtually, the exploration of cooperation and the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) were successfully executed at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Present in person at the Indonesian Embassy in Ukraine were Mr. Arief Muhammad Basalamah, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Ukraine, who represented UNDIRA in this collaborative initiative, and Prof. Oleksandr Samoilenko, Rector of Nizhyn Gogol State University.
Joining virtually were several representatives from UNDIRA, including the Vice Rector III, Mr. Muhammad Hasannudin Thoyieb, M.M.; the Director of Public Relations and Cooperation, Mr. Imam Priyono, S.T., M.M.; and Dr. Novida Irawan, Head of the Communication Science Study Program.
Given that both nations possess not only massive potential for academic exploration but also a rich climate of cultural diversity, this collaboration is envisioned to serve as a sustainable bridge for the exchange of knowledge that transcends geographical boundaries.
“In this moment, we are reminded once again that the development of Human Resources and their competencies begins not solely within meeting rooms, but through academic diplomacy for students and scholars alike,” stated Oleksandr H. Samoilenko, PhD, Rector of Nizhyn Gogol State University.

“The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding marks more than just the commencement of a formal agreement; it represents the realization of a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating the capacity development of both institutions. We believe that the contemporary educational landscape demands the integration of domestic insights with global perspectives to transform learning paradigms in the current era,” remarked Mr. Hasanuddin Thoyieb.

This inter-institutional cooperation further signifies a mutual commitment to supporting the construction of a comprehensive academic ecosystem through joint research, international seminars, academic exchanges, and the sharing of global perspectives, benefiting not only students but also faculty members.
