Design, Application, and Implementation of Technology: An Overview of the Electrical Engineering Study Program and Its Career Prospects

Science and technology have become inseparable entities. Human civilization today is closely intertwined with technological advancements that continuously simplify and transform lifestyles over time.
The current era of the Internet of Things (IoT) has accelerated progress in science and technology. This acceleration can be observed in the increasing utilization of networks, network mapping, and improved energy efficiency performance, all of which play a significant role in generating positive public perception.
In response, the demand for competent human resources in science and technology has grown substantially. This demand represents a strategic step not only in fostering innovation but also in strengthening the economy and ensuring societal sustainability. One of the disciplines central to this endeavor is Electrical Engineering.
For those interested in exploring networks and engaging intensively with physics, Dian Nusantara University (UNDIRA) offers an Electrical Engineering Study Program that aligns closely with the needs of today’s era. Accredited “Good” by BAN-PT, the program is committed to producing graduates who are not only knowledgeable but also highly competent in their field.
Students of Electrical Engineering are equipped with an extensive foundation in mathematics and physics, particularly in areas related to wave utilization and energy management methods. With 144 credits available and three study concentrations—Telecommunications, Electronics, and Electrical Power—students are comprehensively prepared to meet the needs of industry by 2030.
In addition, UNDIRA provides supporting facilities such as a Physics Laboratory, which enhances the learning process by allowing students to directly connect theoretical knowledge with practical application. Equipped with a range of study-supporting tools, the Physics Laboratory enables students to sharpen their analytical skills while strengthening technical competencies relevant to the modern industry.
The Electrical Engineering Program at UNDIRA has also established a partnership with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the world’s largest professional organization in the field of technology. Through this collaboration, students and lecturers gain access to international academic publications, broaden their perspectives, and participate in global conferences and seminars.
With such extensive preparation, Electrical Engineering graduates enjoy diverse career opportunities, including roles as System Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Technicians (in fields such as Robotics and Hardware), Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) Engineers, as well as Computer and Electronics Specialists.
Through a relevant curriculum, adequate facilities, and an international network with IEEE, UNDIRA’s Electrical Engineering Study Program serves as a strategic platform for shaping professionals ready to contribute in the digital era. More than just technology practitioners, Electrical Engineering graduates of UNDIRA are envisioned as agents of change capable of driving innovation, enhancing national competitiveness, and bringing positive impacts to global civilization.
