The Opening Ceremony was held at two UNDIRA campuses: Tanjung Duren Campus in West Jakarta and Cibubur Campus on Jalan Rawa Dollar.
The Opening Ceremony was filled with enthusiasm from the students, which certainly brought a refreshing atmosphere to UNDIRA. Prof. Dr. H. Suharyadi, as UNDIRA's Rector, attended the opening ceremony in person. The event was also attended by Mr. Ir. Yenon Orsa, M.T., as the founder of UNDIRA, Mr. Sagoro Dharmawan, as Chairman of the Dian Asra Foundation, Dr. Astie Darmayantie., MMSI., MSc., ST., as Chairperson of the Dian Asra Foundation Advisory Board, along with UNDIRA's Vice Rectors.
"Amid current difficulties and uncertainties, education is one of the best paths to shape our future. This year, UNDIRA welcomes approximately 1,200 new students who will become the next generation of the nation. Throughout its journey, UNDIRA educates between 6,000 to 6,500 students annually, consisting of both fresh high school graduates and working professionals. I salute your determination to collectively become academics who will benefit the nation and country. UNDIRA is committed to providing education through affordable costs. UNDIRA also strive to preprare the next generation revolving around the core values of Visionary, Integrity, and Professional," he stated.
"With an Excellent accreditation, UNDIRA is always committed to providing the best education to students. UNDIRA's development is not only reflected in the availability of facilities but also in our 330 lecturers with competencies in their respective fields," he continued.
Following this statement, he explained that UNDIRA has also successfully achieved various accomplishments in both academic and non-academic fields through the maximum efforts of lecturers and students. Based on these achievements, despite being only in its sixth year, UNDIRA has successfully obtained a Ministry of Education grant for Smart Classroom procurement.
Continuing from Prof. Dr. H. Suharyadi's opening, UNDIRA's Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs, Mr. Margono Sugeng M.Sc., then read the Head Lector Decree (SK) regarding the code of conduct and academic regulations that must be followed by all UNDIRA students. In this reading, Vice Rector I emphasized the importance of discipline and student commitment in undergoing the educational process.
"Lectures are a long journey toward maturity, clarity of heart, and self-confidence. You must all look toward the future with broad hope; you must all be able to produce blessings and beneficial works for the nation. Make knowledge your light and be grateful for divine grace. Knowledge is not merely information; learn with full awareness so that your soul attains true tranquility," said Mr. Margono Sugeng.
Following the reading of the Decree and UNDIRA's code of conduct to new students, Mr. Sagoro Dharmawan, Chairman of the Dian Asra Foundation, shared similar sentiments with the Vice Rector I's message. Mr. Sagoro Dharmawan emphasized that education is not merely about knowledge or success that focuses on one party alone. He continued that education and true success are based on resilience, and there is no shortcut to genuine success.
"Although some of Indonesia's young generation now feel they are in a difficult position, often referred to as the Sandwich Generation, this is actually not a burden - but rather a blessing. Know that from the existence of other souls who are still your responsibility, life still has a direction to pursue, and from there we will find the reason for failures, bitterness, and lessons we experience," he stated.
The event culminated with the investiture of the alma mater to several representative new students by UNDIRA's Rector, accompanied by the Chairman of the Dian Asra Foundation.
After the ceremonial phase for new students concluded, the event ended with a Public Lecture segment for new students on facing the era of Internet of Things (IoT). UNDIRA presented two practitioners: Dr. Pratama Persadha, M.Sos., MM., as Chairman of the Cyber Security Research Institute CISSRECs2, and Prof. Teddy Mantoro, as Professor in Computer Science, School of Computer Science, Nusa Putra University, with the hope that students would not only be skilled in mastering technology but also wise in using it.
With the commencement of the odd semester for Academic Year 2025/2026, UNDIRA is optimistic about continuing to provide real contributions to Indonesia's higher education sector, particularly in producing graduates who are not only academically excellent but also possess strong character in accordance with UNDIRA's VIP values.
