Welcome to Campus V.I.P., Universitas Dian Nusantara! Starting College Life at Hello Campus

Jakarta, August 26, 2025 - Universitas Dian Nusantara (UNDIRA) successfully held the Hello Campus event with a Hawaiian cultural theme to welcome 900 new students for the 2025/2026 Academic Year. The event, held at UNDIRA Campus Tanjung Duren, West Jakarta, serves as the first step for new students to begin their academic journey towards Golden Indonesia 2045.

"This event is the most important activity for new students. Hello Campus comprehensively introduces university life, both academically and non-academically," said Mr. Norman Yachya, S.T., M.M., Director of Student Affairs and Career Development and Alumni Bureau of UNDIRA.

Hello Campus 2025 not only functions as an orientation but also as a strategic platform for new students to build networking and socialization. This program is designed to prepare students to be more ready to carry out their roles as part of the UNDIRA academic community with the values of Visionary, Integrity, and Professionalism.

Vice Rector III for Public Relations, Academic Affairs, Cooperation, and Marketing, Dr. Ir. Muhammad Hasanuddin Thoyieb, M.M., emphasized the philosophical meaning of the university's name.

"As the meaning of 'Dian' in the name Universitas Dian Nusantara, which means lamp, we are committed to keeping the flame of knowledge burning in the minds and hearts of every member of the academic community. This philosophy guides us to form intelligent individuals who are not only intellectually excellent but also responsible to the nation and country."

He also emphasized that lectures are not the only determinant of success. Passion and character education also play a role in shaping each individual's future.

Samsul Rahmat Lumosa, M.A., founder of LPK Lumosa, provided motivation to new students about the importance of stepping out of their comfort zones. He reminded that limitations actually lie in the emphasis on comfort zones and weak socialization skills.

"Even though you succeed in achieving a GPA of 3.7, when faced with fellow students with a GPA of 3.2 who have more experience in organizations and journal publications, the intelligence displayed in your 3.7 GPA will not have significant influence in the real world," he emphasized.

Lumosa stressed that physical limitations are not the main barrier to success. In his view, apparent limitations actually become hidden strengths to transcend conventional boundaries.

"Every physical and spiritual challenge is an opportunity to strengthen the heart and soul's perseverance. What limits us is not a weak body, but a mind that gives up before trying," he expressed with full enthusiasm.

Safety and security aspects are UNDIRA's top priority. Indeed, a conducive environment will support not only optimal knowledge absorption but also comfort in creating. Mr. Rengga Sendrian, M.Hum., Head of PPKPT (Prevention and Handling of Violence in Higher Education) UNDIRA explained the strategic role of this institution.

"The task of PPKPT is to handle and protect victims of violence and sexual harassment in the UNDIRA environment," he explained.

PPKPT UNDIRA operates based on Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Regulation No. 55 of 2024 concerning Prevention and Handling of Violence in Higher Education Environments. This institution guarantees that reporting can be done by all parties with privacy protection assured.

Education at UNDIRA is truly integrated and opens many opportunities for students. UNDIRA has two Faculties: the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences (FBIS UNDIRA) and the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics (FTI UNDIRA), which serve as answers to industry needs for professional personnel in fields that become the needs and goals of each student.

Mrs. Sigit Mareta, S.E., M.Ak., representing the Dean of FBIS, Mr. Caturida Meiwanto Doktoralina, M.Ak., Ph.D., presents thorough informations regarding FBIS UNDIRA. FBIS UNDIRA, which consists of Communication Studies, English Literature, Management, and Accounting Study Programs, also moves in the field of science based on a comprehensive world approach from various angles with statistical and ethical perspectives. Not only does today's industry demand numerical learning, but also how humanistic values can play a role in modern industry.
