Jakarta, July 5, 2025 – A proud achievement has once again been secured by one of UNDIRA’s students. Deby Valencia, a second-semester student of the Management Study Program, achieved a remarkable accomplishment in the field of sports by winning 3rd place in the Karate martial arts category at the Provincial Student Sports Week (POMPROV) DKI Jakarta. The competition was held at GOR Pulogadung, East Jakarta, from June 19 to 24, 2025.

Deby competed in the Women's 55 kg class, proudly representing UNDIRA’s Karate Student Activity Unit (UKM Karate). With great determination, she competed against athletes from 14 other universities across the province of DKI Jakarta and successfully brought home the bronze medal. This achievement not only reflects her perseverance and fighting spirit in martial arts competition but also demonstrates her strong commitment to becoming a dedicated and inspiring athlete.

According to Mr. Andri Yansyah, Head of the Youth and Sports Agency, on Thursday, June 19, 2025, this event served as a selection and trial arena for the best university athletes in Jakarta, in preparation for the upcoming National Student Sports Week (POMNAS) XIX 2025.

This milestone has become a powerful motivation for Deby Valencia to continue honing her skills and discipline in Karate, aiming for greater success in future championships. It is also hoped that her accomplishment will inspire all UNDIRA students to continue growing—not only academically but also non-academically—by actively participating in competitions and championship events like POMPROV. The future is bright, and let us shine together, UNDIRA!
