Student Mobility Program Opens Doors for Overseas Learning: UNDIRA and INTI International University & Colleges Malaysia Forge Long-Term Collaboration

Jakarta, May 15, 2025 – In response to the evolving challenges of the education sector, which now demands not only academic mastery but also technical skills in the digital era, Universitas Dian Nusantara (UNDIRA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with INTI International University & Colleges, Malaysia.
The MoU signing took place at UNDIRA’s Tanjung Duren Campus in West Jakarta and was attended by Prof. Tezara Cionita, Director of International Relations at INTI Malaysia, along with Mr. Norazli Sham, Founder of Ed Prestige Limited. Also present at the event were the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics at UNDIRA, Mrs. Desi Rahmayanti, S.Kom., M.T., along with the entire faculty staff of the department.
Vice Rector I, Mr. Ir. Margono Sugeng, M.Sc., and Vice Rector III, Dr. Ir. Muhammad Hasanuddin Thoyieb, MM., who played a pivotal role in initiating this MoU, were also in attendance.
In his opening remarks, Vice Rector I, Mr. Ir. Margono Sugeng, M.Sc., emphasized that this partnership marks an important step toward strengthening the relationship between UNDIRA and INTI Malaysia, a university with an excellent international reputation.
“We hope that during this visit, we will gain a closer look at the study programs that can be established between our institutions. Therefore, we are very enthusiastic about exchanging ideas and collaborating in various fields, particularly in educational development and creating opportunities for our students,” said Mr. Margono Sugeng.
As part of the introductory session, Prof. Tezara Cionita shared the background and brief history of INTI Malaysia. Founded in 1986 in Subang Jaya with a vision to advance education, INTI has built collaborations with numerous institutions and global business partners in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and France. INTI also operates several campuses across Malaysia, including in Penang, Subang, and Sabah.
During the MoU discussion led by Prof. Tezara Cionita, several promising collaboration programs were highlighted. These include student exchange programs, visiting lecturer programs, student mobility programs which promote cooperation in education, research, and community service, customized study tour programs, and opportunities for faculty and students to pursue further studies.
Courses offered at INTI Malaysia are not limited to English instruction, which ensures that UNDIRA students interested in continuing their studies or participating in academic visits will not face significant language barriers. It is also important to note that the final submission to apply for UNDIRA College Students to visit INTI Malaysia is due in July, then the selected participants will be picked to visit and study at INTI Malaysia.
“This collaboration between Universitas Dian Nusantara and INTI University and Colleges stems from the initiative of a civil engineering lecturer currently pursuing postgraduate studies at INTI. We hope this partnership will open up many opportunities as mentioned by Prof. Tezara Cionita. Additionally, we hope this will also enable our lecturers to continue their studies at INTI College, God willing,” said Mrs. Desi Rahmayanti, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics at UNDIRA.
Vice Rector III, Dr. Ir. Muhammad Hasanuddin Thoyieb, MM., expressed that the meeting with INTI Malaysia was highly inspiring for UNDIRA, a relatively young institution that has been operating for only five years. He expressed hope that, through the reference and collaboration established with INTI Malaysia, UNDIRA can further develop its academic competencies and achieve greater recognition both nationally and internationally.
