Amazing Performance! See You Again Next Time!: Closing and Winner Announcement of NEBUKA 2025

Saturday, May 3, 2025 – After going through various competition stages that began on April 26, 2025, the time has come for the best participants to receive their awards at the Nusantara Cultural Expression and Action Festival Week (NEBUKA).

NEBUKA Festival is not just an event for students of UNDIRA. As a collaborative initiative between Universitas NEBUKA, it provides an open platform for university students, high school/vocational students, and the general public to showcase their determination and skills. The festival features a variety of competitions, including MTQ (Qur'an Recitation), Debate, Singing, Badminton, Dance, and Mobile Legends E-Sports.

NEBUKA Festival has left a lasting impression with its thrilling competitions that spark adrenaline and intellectual enthusiasm. On April 27, the echoes of youthful energy, cheering spectators, and peak adrenaline filled the 6th Floor Hall of Universitas Dian Nusantara (UNDIRA) as the spectacular and prestigious Mobile Legends tournament took place.

In this electrifying event, 51 teams from diverse backgrounds—including universities, schools, general communities, and internal UNDIRA staff—competed fiercely in the digital arena, vying for the championship title. The resounding cheers of spectators and participants throughout the day reflected the aspirations of the younger generation in E-Sports while embodying an inseparable spirit of competition.

The NEBUKA stage continued to captivate audiences on the third day, May 2, with the Indonesian Debate Competition held at the 6th Floor Hall of UNDIRA. This prestigious debate competition welcomed university students from Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, and Universitas Cakrawala.

The competition was charged with dynamic exchanges and passionate academic discourse, where participants showcased brilliant ideas, courage in expressing opinions, and unwavering teamwork in defending their arguments.

The first debate motion posed the question, "Indonesia’s Cultural Diversity: A Source of Strength or a Threat to Unity?" followed by a hotly discussed topic, "Indonesia’s 12% VAT Increase: Economic Solution or Public Burden?" UNDIRA delivered a commendable performance, securing third place, while UIN Syarif Hidayatullah claimed first place in the final round.

Beyond intellectual rivalry, the debate competition symbolized freedom of thought, democratic spirit, and appreciation for diverse perspectives. The third day of NEBUKA 2025 successfully reinforced Universitas Dian Nusantara (UNDIRA) as a hub for critical thinkers, communicative individuals, and highly competitive students.
