Jakarta, February 27, 2025 - In order to maximize the output of MSME business activities, Universitas Dian Nusantara (UNDIRA) in collaboration with the Indonesian Creative Polytechnic successfully conducted Community Service (PkM) at Graha Wiranesia, Ps. Minggu, South Jakarta.

In this Community Service activity, 21 UNDIRA lecturers attended as speakers, bringing their own topics related to the MSME world. Demonstrating their commitment to providing optimal MSME perspectives from various angles, the UNDIRA lecturers present were from the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics (FTI) and the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences (FBIS).

Meanwhile, the Indonesian Creative Polytechnic also presented 3 lecturers as speakers to provide training and tips and tricks for creative product design to MSME entrepreneurs.

Approximately 30 MSME participants from the Creative and Culinary Sectors attended. The MSME entrepreneurs enthusiastically and eagerly welcomed the training provided during the Community Service (PkM) event. Each session's materials covered various interesting topics, ranging from design philosophy, marketing communication strategies, and language utilization, to business optimization approaches through information technology utilization.

MSME entrepreneurs received training on how to communicate their products and the importance of understanding the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) of their products to identify their market targets. The training also included the use of social media applications and how Search Engine Optimization (SEO) can boost product virality.

Apart from the importance for MSME entrepreneurs to adapt to information systems, other knowledge shared included techniques for creating engaging content through photography and videography, which can affect product virality. Knowing how to create easily digestible visual content is a top priority that MSME entrepreneurs must remember, especially in an era where most of the population are social media natives.

Additionally, MSME training covered how language can play a role in promoting and expanding the networking reach of MSME entrepreneurs. By mastering language, MSME entrepreneurs can not only expand their network but also have the opportunity to tap into international markets by establishing foreign language communication.

Furthermore, the Indonesian Creative Polytechnic emphasized the importance of mastering and applying design philosophy, which will later become the foundation of packaging design. Through implementing the right packaging design that leaves an impression, the products offered have a greater potential to attract consumer attention.

It is hoped that with joint training that includes two perspectives from higher education institutions, MSME entrepreneurs will gain new insights on how to optimize their products to compete not only domestically but also in international markets.
