Emphasizing Academic Spirit of Visionary, Integrity, and Professional Spirit: UNDIRA Holds Coordination Meeting for Lecturers

Jakarta, February 27, 2025 - In the spirit of instilling Visionary, Integrity, and Professional (VIP) values, Universitas Dian Nusantara (UNDIRA) held a hybrid Coordination Meeting for the Even Semester of the Academic Year 2024/2025 at the Auditorium, 6th Floor, UNDIRA Tanjung Duren Campus, West Jakarta. A total of 81 lecturers attended the meeting in person. The Coordination Meeting was led by the Rector of Universitas Dian Nusantara, Prof. Dr. H. Suharyadi, Chairman of Dian Asra Foundation, Mr. Sagoro Dharmawan, along with Vice Rector I - Mr. Ir. Margono Sugeng, M.Sc and Vice Rector II - Mr. Dwi Sapto Febriantaka, M.A.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. H. Suharyadi provided several points related to the evaluation of the teaching and learning activities that have been carried out so far at UNDIRA. He mentioned that in the five years of running the teaching and learning activities, UNDIRA has been one of the universities that has progressed relatively quickly and has even managed to achieve an "EXCELLENT" Accreditation by BAN-PT.
He further stated that UNDIRA has successfully developed several facilities ready to be used to support the learning activities of 6,384 students. The available facilities include a library that provides all the materials needed by students, both in physical forms (research journals and books) and digital forms (e-books and e-magazines).
Additionally, there are Smart Classroom facilities that enable more interactive learning for students attending online classes. The existence of UNDIRA's Smart Classrooms is a realization of the Learning Innovation Research Grant as an Incentive for the Achievement of Key Performance Indicators (IKU) for the Best Private Universities by DITJEN DIKTI in 2024. The presence of Smart Classrooms also proves UNDIRA's commitment to supporting the learning activities of all UNDIRA students, regardless of distance and time constraints.
Prof. Dr. H. Suharyadi also mentioned that besides the facilities supporting teaching and learning activities, UNDIRA has also successfully produced a significant number of research papers and community service projects (PkM) that are competitive with other universities. UNDIRA has successfully produced a total of 317 research papers and 273 community service projects (PkM). This achievement made him proud of the hard work of the entire UNDIRA academic community in supporting the optimal academic track record performance.
Mr. Sagoro Dharmawan, Chairman of the Dian Asra Foundation, then added that with the track record that UNDIRA has, students also need to develop their adaptability skills, especially in the working world where most have adopted AI-based technology. In an era that demands acceleration and adaptability between humans and technology, mastering systems that can support soft skills is a necessity for students. Therefore, he emphasized that with the existence of various supporting technological platforms such as Google Workspace and Google Site, students are expected to utilize the various platforms available.
However, beyond the competency in the use of Technology and AI, students must also master practical skills. He stated that in addition to written assignments, students are also given project-based tasks. This is aimed at enhancing their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Mr. Sagoro Dharmawan continued that after developing soft skills, students can use the available Google Site as a repository for their data and achievements, which can later be used to create CVs and portfolios. He also provided information that due to the collaboration between the UNDIRA Career and Alumni Development Bureau and KINOBI, students can easily obtain all information about internship programs and job vacancies. Moreover, the existence of the UNDIRA Career Portal as a support for CV creation also helps students design their CVs and portfolios in the future.
The competence of higher education graduates must always be strengthened and clarified for its relevance to the needs of the business and industrial world. It is hoped that with the Coordination Meeting for Lecturers, the quality and performance of UNDIRA education can develop more rapidly to achieve a prosperous UNDIRA.
