2nd Graduation alongside 5th Anniversary: UNDIRA to graduate Off 660 Graduates, Ready to Face Global Challenges

Jakarta, October 19, 2024 – Universitas Dian Nusantara (UNDIRA) Celebrates Two Major Milestones on October 19, 2024, at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), BSD City, Tangerang. During this momentous event, UNDIRA successfully held its second graduation ceremony, conferring degrees to 660 graduates, while simultaneously celebrating its 5th anniversary. This celebration marks a proud moment for the university, which was founded just five years ago, and highlights significant achievements in UNDIRA’s journey as a growing institution of higher education.
In his speech, UNDIRA’s Rector, Prof. Dr. H. Suharyadi, expressed pride and appreciation for the graduates who had completed their education with distinction. He also reflected on the long journey UNDIRA has undertaken since its establishment five years ago by three founders: Prof. Dr. E.S Margianti, SE., MM, Prof. Dr. H. Suharyadi, and Mr. Ir. Yenon Orsa, M.T. Since its first graduation, where 352 students were awarded degrees, UNDIRA has now successfully graduated more than 660 students at this event. He reaffirmed UNDIRA's commitment to providing quality education at an affordable cost, aiming to help graduates face an increasingly competitive job market and contribute to the nation’s development.
Prof. Dr. H. Suharyadi also advised the graduates to believe in their future. “Your future is determined by your own steps and efforts. In facing the increasingly tough challenges ahead, remain persistent and never stop learning,” he said. He also expressed gratitude to Prof. E.S Margianti, SE., MM, and Universitas Gunadarma for their continuous support in UNDIRA’s educational activities, and he emphasized his hope that UNDIRA would continue to grow and become an even better institution in the future.
The event continued with remarks from Mr. Sagoro Dharmawan, highlighting the importance of innovation in the teaching and learning processes at UNDIRA. Technological tools such as Google Workspace and the Tracer Study system have helped graduates be better prepared for a workforce increasingly reliant on advanced technology. "With the skills provided by UNDIRA, graduates are expected to make significant contributions to the nation across various sectors," he said.
Additionally, Mr. Toni Toharudin, S.Si., M.Sc., Head of LLDIKTI Region III, Jakarta, delivered an inspirational message to the graduates. He acknowledged that the academic journey they had undergone was not easy, filled with sacrifices and challenges. However, with support from various parties and high spirits, the graduates managed to overcome those challenges. He reminded them that greater challenges await outside, but UNDIRA graduates are expected to become agents of change, not only for themselves but also for others around them. “A small positive change can form a strong foundation for a better future,” he said.
The keynote speech was delivered by Mr. Ir. Bagus Setiawan, MBA, Senior Advisor to the Board of Directors at PT PLN (Persero) and PT Energi Primer Indonesia (Persero), with the theme “Transforming Mindsets and Building Visionary and Adaptive Generations for Independence in the Digital Era.” In his speech, he stressed the importance of foresight in navigating an increasingly volatile and uncertain world. "Data, imagination, and critical thinking are key to navigating an unpredictable future. Only those who can adapt quickly and effectively will thrive," he remarked. He also advised graduates not only to have plans but also the determination and effort to execute them because plans without action will not change anything.
Following the conferment of degrees, the student pledge was delivered by graduate representative Dody Frianto from the Informatics Engineering program, followed by a speech by Rodhika Utama from the Civil Engineering program. Rodhika reminded everyone that four years ago, the pandemic had changed many things and made the journey feel difficult. However, those experiences shaped the students into more resilient and adaptive individuals. All the achievements realized were not without the support of their parents. Rodhika, coming from a humble family, expressed that without such support, he would not have reached his current position. He emphasized that it is important for graduates to always remember the struggles they went through from start to finish.
This event stands as a symbol of pride and great hope for UNDIRA in producing future generations ready to contribute to the nation’s progress. With the spirit of innovation, integrity, and professionalism, UNDIRA remains committed to becoming a leading educational institution in the future.
