Driving Products to the International Market: UNDIRA Holds Business Education and Training for Jakarta Entrepreneurs
Jakarta, August 23, 2024 - A training session on Export Strategies and Business Correspondence in English for SMEs in Jakarta was successfully held, marking an initiative within the framework of the Community Service Program. The event took place at the Training and SME Clinic Room, West Jakarta Mayor's Office, Kebon Jeruk, Special Capital Region of Jakarta.
The program aimed to boost the income of Entrepreneurs by utilizing export strategies and international correspondence to help local products enter the global market. As part of the Community Service Program, the event received full support from the 2024 DIKTI Grant.
Several lecturers from Universitas Dian Nusantara served as resource persons and trainers, including Mr. Luthfi Hazami, S.E., M.M., Mr. Muhammad Al Faruq Abdullah, S.Kom., M.M., Mrs. Irma Rahmawati, S.S., M.M., and Mr. Eriklex Donald, S.E., M.M. The participants of the training included SMEs supported by the Association of Innovative Creative Entrepreneurs (APIK) and participants from the Jakpreneur program, with full backing from the West Jakarta Center for Entrepreneurship Development, Cooperatives, and SMEs (PPkukm).
This program represents a concrete step by Universitas Dian Nusantara and APIK to strengthen the local economy through SME development. It exemplifies the synergy between the university, business associations, and local government, providing a platform for SMEs to open new opportunities to enhance the local economy and create more independent and competitive businesses in the era of globalization.
The training stands as tangible proof of the collaborative commitment among academics, entrepreneurs, and the government to support the advancement of Indonesian SMEs on the global stage.
"We truly hope that through this training, our SMEs will soon be able to export their products to international markets and create a broader economic impact for the people of Jakarta," said one of the Jakpreneur participants.
With the provision of export skills and international business correspondence management, creative and innovative SME products can become known in international markets. It is hoped that this training will provide deeper insights to SME participants about business development in both domestic and international markets.
