The Rector of UNDIRA Inaugurates 1,049 New Students at the Opening of the New Semester for the 2024/2025 Academic Year.

Jakarta, September 7, 2024 – Universitas Dian Nusantara has once again held the Opening Ceremony for the Odd Semester of the Academic Year 2024/2025. The event was conducted in a hybrid format across two locations: the Cibubur campus in Bekasi and the Tanjung Duren campus in West Jakarta. This event served as the official opening ceremony for the new academic year, following the student orientation program, Hello Campus, held from September 2-4, 2024, also in a hybrid format.

The ceremony began with a speech from the Rector of Universitas Dian Nusantara, Prof. Dr. H. Suharyadi. In his address, he welcomed the new academic year and the new students. Prof. Suharyadi also introduced the three founders of the university: Prof. Dr. E.S. Margianti, Prof. Dr. H. Suharyadi, and Ir. Yenon Orsa, M.T. He emphasized that UNDIRA upholds three core values: Visionary, Integrity, and Professionalism, which serve as guiding principles for the entire academic community in producing competent, well-rounded graduates who are ready to compete in the workforce. Prof. Suharyadi also highlighted the university’s achievements in both academic and non-academic fields, brought by students who have successfully brought pride to Universitas Dian Nusantara.

The Chairman of the Dian Asra Foundation, Sagoro Dharmawan, in his speech, explained that UNDIRA has integrated with Google Workspace, enhancing accessibility in both teaching processes and academic services, creating a more effective and efficient educational environment, and supporting the work of both lecturers and students.

In addition to speeches and presentations, the event was enlivened by a traditional Piring Dance performance from West Sumatra, presented by the Universitas Dian Nusantara Dance Club.

On this occasion, a total of 1,049 new students were officially inaugurated as students of Universitas Dian Nusantara. They represent the 10th cohort of UNDIRA and are expected to achieve great accomplishments throughout their studies, culminating in their graduation in 2028.

The event was also attended by key local figures, including the Head of Jatisampurna Subdistrict, the Deputy Commander of 02 Pondok Gede Military District, representatives from the Jatisampurna Police Precinct, the Commander of 05 Kebon Jeruk Military District, and representatives from the Kebon Jeruk Police Precinct, the Grogol Petamburan Police Precinct, and the 03 Grogol Petamburan Military District. Additionally, Prof. Dr. E.S. Margianti, M.M., the Rector of Universitas Gunadarma and a founder of Universitas Dian Nusantara, was also present. In her remarks, she expressed the hope that the bond between UNDIRA and Universitas Gunadarma would foster collaborations that would help students reach their full potential and support quality education programs.
