Jakarta, September 27, 2026 – Rapid technological developments and shifts in the social and cultural landscape continue to present both challenges and opportunities for Generation Z. Today, success is no longer simply about who possesses the greatest strength, but about who dares to move forward amid uncertainty. This reality encourages young people, particularly university students, to seek not only theoretical knowledge but also practical insights and experience from professionals in the field.

In response to this need, Universitas Dian Nusantara (UNDIRA), in collaboration with Yayasan Laju Peduli, organized a business and leadership seminar entitled “Young Entrepreneur and Future Leader: Membangun Generasi Mahasiswa yang Berjiwa Wirausaha, Berintegritas dan Berdampak” (Building a Generation of Entrepreneurial, Integrity-Driven, and Impactful Students). Held in person at UNDIRA’s Tanjung Duren Campus in West Jakarta on September 26th 2026, the event featured three prominent speakers and was met with great enthusiasm from 50 UNDIRA students in their first through third semesters, as well as several members of the general public who attended the seminar.

According to the Head of the Student Affairs Bureau, Anton Kurniawan, S.P., M.M., the seminar was organized as part of UNDIRA’s commitment to broadening students’ understanding of entrepreneurship while nurturing strong leadership qualities that can be applied in organizational settings.

“In an era filled with constant change and uncertainty, students need to look beyond simply pursuing high academic grades. Leadership skills and a strong understanding of business are among the foundations that can help bridge the gap between where you are today and the success you aspire to achieve. I hope that through this event, our students can absorb as much knowledge and experience as possible from today’s speakers and put those insights into practice, whether in their future careers or when they eventually decide to start their own businesses. Your future begins with you, and ultimately, it is in your own hands,” said Anton Kurniawan.

Ms. Azizah Piliang, an Entrepreneurial Mindset and Sociopreneur practitioner, shared a similar perspective. She explained that building a successful career and starting a business should begin with an understanding of leadership. According to her, effective leadership starts with the ability to discipline oneself, uphold integrity, and make thoughtful decisions by considering situations from different perspectives, whether on a small or large scale.

She further explained that good leadership is not merely about maintaining performance. It also plays an important role in building trust, fostering mutual respect among team members, and ultimately supporting sustainable success in the long term.

In the following session, which focused on how to build a growing and impactful business, Mrs. Rizky Kicky Fitriani, CPOM, CDM, CNSBP, CPDMM, CPS, a Social Entrepreneur and Impact Leadership practitioner, emphasized that integrity is equally fundamental in the business world.

“Building on the foundation of leadership, we can see that integrity and personal branding are essential keys to success, particularly in business. However, it is also important to remember that building a sustainable business is not simply about having the courage to take risks or pursuing profit. It is also about creating something of value that can benefit others and generate a positive impact on the surrounding community,” said Rizky Kicky Fitriani.

Bringing together the insights shared by both speakers, Coach Edy Fajar Prasetyo, S.P., M.M., CT, CDM, CPS, CTL, CME, CEI, CMC, CMT, Founder of Arunika Indonesia and a Certified Business Practitioner, shared his personal experiences in building a business from the ground up while offering deeper insights into the true meaning of entrepreneurship.

“Rather than asking for opportunities, it is better to build partnerships,” was one of his key messages to the UNDIRA students. He explained that, as young people, the financial support they currently receive from their parents is naturally limited and should eventually be complemented by creative and meaningful ideas that can be developed into entrepreneurial ventures.

With time still on their side, he encouraged students to take advantage of emerging trends and opportunities as a way to gradually build financial independence from an early stage.

The seminar served as a reminder that success is never built through shortcuts. It grows through consistent learning, a commitment to integrity, and the courage to take small steps in the face of uncertainty. Through this collaborative effort, UNDIRA and Yayasan Laju Peduli hope that the seeds of leadership and entrepreneurship planted today will continue to grow, providing students with valuable foundations as they navigate their individual journeys, whatever paths they ultimately choose.
