Building Excellent Governance, Undira Holds Risk-Based Procedure Documentation Workshop

Jakarta, April 30, 2026 – In an effort to enhance quality and align the performance of its academic community, Universitas Dian Nusantara (UNDIRA), through its Quality Assurance Institute (LPM), organized a Workshop on Strengthening the Internal Quality Assurance System through the Development of Work Procedure Documents on May 29, 2026, at the Tanjung Duren Campus Hall, West Jakarta.

This initiative represents a strategic step by the university to reinforce the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) in accordance with the mandate of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Regulation No. 39 of 2025. It also serves as a critical effort to establish a solid foundation for human resource structures and organizational governance that are effective, integrated, and professional.

Through this workshop, Undira reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a quality culture that goes beyond mere compliance with standards, focusing instead on the continuous improvement of service quality across all organizational units.

The event was officially opened by the Vice Rector II of Universitas Dian Nusantara, Mr. Dwi Sapto Febriantaka, M.A., who emphasized in his remarks the importance of work procedure documents as a key instrument in supporting effective organizational governance.

Work procedures are essentially the lifeblood of university governance. With these documents in place, we expect all tasks to be carried out through clear, orderly, well-documented, and accountable processes,” he stated.

He further noted that the workshop is expected to produce tangible outputs to help accelerate the implementation of the SPMI.

The output of today’s activity is a set of procedures from each division or bureau that will help accelerate the implementation of our internal quality assurance system,” he added.

Moreover, he reminded participants that maintaining quality in higher education is a collective responsibility.

Quality is not solely the responsibility of the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM), but of every staff member, every unit, and every member of the Undira academic community,” he continued.

The workshop featured sessions aimed at strengthening participants’ understanding of SPMI policies, standardizing formats for work procedure documents, and providing techniques for developing effective procedures. It also included hands-on practice in drafting procedure documents based on the main duties and functions of each organizational unit.

This approach was designed to ensure that participants not only understand the theoretical concepts but are also able to produce practical and applicable procedure documents tailored to their respective units.

To reinforce the substance of the program, the workshop invited Dr. Ir. Desiana Vidayanti, M.T., a National Facilitator for Higher Education Quality Assurance, who provided both conceptual and technical insights into procedure development within the SPMI framework.

In her presentation, Dr. Desiana emphasized that drafting procedures is not merely about producing administrative documents, but about building structured, measurable, and sustainable work systems as an integral part of an institution’s quality culture.

The procedures we develop are not merely administrative documents that add to the workload. More than that, procedures are the lifeblood of a structured, measurable, and sustainable work system to realize a genuine quality culture within our institution,” she explained.

The workshop was delivered through a combination of presentations, interactive discussions, and practical sessions on drafting procedure documents based on each unit’s roles and responsibilities. This applied approach enabled participants to develop initial drafts that align with operational needs while supporting more effective university governance.

In the closing session, the Head of the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM), Mrs. Sri Hesti, M.I.Kom., emphasized that the initiative does not end with the workshop, but will be followed by mentoring, review, and finalization stages for procedure documents across all university units.

This follow-up is designed as a strategic measure to ensure that the workshop outcomes are effectively implemented within the institutional governance system, rather than remaining as mere administrative formalities.

The organization of this workshop further underscores Universitas Dian Nusantara’s commitment to cultivating a quality-driven culture across all units through standardized practices and enhanced human resource capacity, in support of achieving the university’s strategic objectives.
