Opening the Even Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year, UNDIRA Reaffirms Its Commitment to VIP-Valued Education

Jakarta, March 7, 2026 — The even semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year at Dian Nusantara University (UNDIRA) has officially commenced. The opening ceremony was held onsite at the Tanjung Duren Campus of Dian Nusantara University, West Jakarta.

The event began with an opening prayer led by Mr. Rahmat, S.Pd.I., M.M., marking the start of the new semester with blessings for UNDIRA’s 5,772 students. The ceremony was attended by the Rector of Dian Nusantara University, Prof. Dr. H. Suharyadi, Mr. Ir. Yenon Orsa, M.T., one of the founders of UNDIRA, along with the entire academic community of the university.

The first segment featured a keynote briefing delivered by Prof. Dr. H. Suharyadi, which was received with great enthusiasm from members of the academic community.

In his remarks, Prof. Dr. H. Suharyadi conveyed that the even semester marks a new beginning filled with optimism for UNDIRA students. He emphasized that UNDIRA remains committed to nurturing students with strong aspirations—individuals who are not only visionary, but also uphold integrity in their respective fields and demonstrate professionalism in carrying out the responsibilities entrusted to them.

UNDIRA is supported by highly competent educators and quality academic facilities that are designed to support both the learning process and various student activities. With these resources, the academic journey is expected to run as effectively and optimally as possible,” stated Prof. Dr. Suharyadi.

Furthermore, the majority of our lecturers have obtained doctoral (PhD) degrees, and several of them are currently pursuing post-doctoral programs. This reflects UNDIRA’s strong commitment to supporting students’ futures by providing them with knowledge and opportunities that will enable them to achieve greater prospects in the years ahead. We hope that one day you will become a generation that contributes meaningfully to the nation and the state,” he added.

Mr. Sagoro Dharmawan, Chairman of the Dian Asra Foundation, emphasized that although the beginning of the semester takes place amid global pressures and various troubling developments around the world, the spirit of dedication and pursuit of knowledge should never fade.

Believe that phenomena or even greater forces will never be able to extinguish our spirit. Power that once determined positions and created disparities is no longer the main determinant of our progress—this is what we refer to as an Asymmetric Strategy,” he explained.

However, relying solely on a concept is not sufficient. Today we live in an era shaped by the rapid development of AI and technology. Intelligence, while helpful in fostering creativity and innovation, is no longer the ultimate answer. Wisdom and character remain the most essential qualities that support humanity’s future. I return once again to the principle taught by Confucius: ‘Education breeds confidence, confidence breeds hope, and hope breeds peace.’

UNDIRA not only delivers up-to-date learning materials through Google Workspace, but also strives to cultivate students’ character and wisdom. The world may be increasingly complex, but the future will always belong to those who dare to think and take action. Ultimately, the future is not determined by the magnitude of power or technology, but by individuals who are adaptive to change and capable of leading with wisdom,” he continued.

As the world increasingly demands a generation capable of collaboration, integrity, and responsibility, UNDIRA stands as a trusted university committed to shaping future generations who not only excel in their respective fields but also contribute meaningfully to society through the spirit of VIP—Visionary, Integrity, and Professionalism.
