Breaking New Ground in Agriculture: Congratulations to UNDIRA Students at KMIXPO 2024
At the conclusion of KMIXPO 2024, Universitas Dian Nusantara successfully showcased its agricultural innovation at Universitas Halu Oleo in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi. With the main theme “Innovation for the Future,” the event focused on development, discussion forums, and collaboration in agriculture, technology, and entrepreneurship.
Universitas Dian Nusantara introduced a revolutionary hydroponic plant cultivation method as an efficient, eco-friendly agricultural solution. Hydroponics, which relies on water rather than soil, is considered a sustainable farming option, especially in urban areas with limited space.

During the research product presentation, Al-Faris explained the benefits of hydroponics for urban communities, while Siska Malina offered a guide on easy plant maintenance with minimal environmental impact. Alongside sharing information about the types of plants suitable for hydroponic cultivation, the UNDIRA team also conducted a workshop on simple home hydroponic installation.
Through KMIXPO 2024, Universitas Dian Nusantara reaffirmed the dedication of young generations and academics to advancing sustainable agriculture. Congratulations to all participants involved in the development of hydroponic plant cultivation. This achievement highlights UNDIRA’s ongoing commitment to supporting eco-friendly solutions and empowering communities through education and innovation.
