Strengthening Studies and Innovation, UNDIRA Civil Engineering Program Signs MoU with Industrial Links International PTE Ltd.
Jakarta, January 23, 2026 – In an effort to prepare excellent students ready to meet the demands of the civil and construction industry approaching 2030, the Civil Engineering Study Program at Universitas Dian Nusantara (UNDIRA) successfully executed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Industrial Links International PTE Ltd., Singapore. The event took place at UNDIRA’s Tanjung Duren Campus, West Jakarta, on January 22, 2026.
The Memorandum of Understanding emphasizes synergy in the realms of education, research, and Community Service, as well as innovation and the strengthening of Human Resource competencies through student internship programs. As the inaugural implementation of this agreement, a webinar will be held on April 11, 2026, discussing the mechanism of Hydrorocks in road and building construction as a solution for sustainable infrastructure.
The Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs at UNDIRA, Ir. Margono Sugeng, M.Sc., stated that synergy between academic institutions and the industry is the key to long-term academic development. Furthermore, he emphasized that the collaboration fostered through this partnership is expected to address the educational challenges regarding efficient and environmentally friendly construction in the future.

Mr. Conrad Oh, International Sales Manager at Industrial Links International PTE Ltd., Singapore, noted that research topics regarding building resilience and material studies have become a focal point for Civil Experts worldwide. The increasing intensity of natural disasters, particularly floods, serves as a supporting factor driving Civil Engineering students to enhance construction quality moving forward.

"We share similar goals, especially after discussing topics regarding natural disasters such as floods. As such, we want to share our vision of how eco-friendly construction might be the best answer for the future. We hope that along the way, future generations will be better equipped with Civil Engineering knowledge and practices in terms of material usage and efficiency," he remarked.
For Civil Engineering students interested in participating in the internship program with Industrial Links International PTE Ltd., Singapore, the submission period for Offering Letters opens in February 2026, with a submission deadline in April 2026. The internship will have a duration of 3 to 6 months, with expected deliverables including research and the utilization of Hydrorocks technology.

This international synergy underscores the UNDIRA Civil Engineering Study Program's commitment to responding to the urgency of sustainable development. Through this MoU, UNDIRA endeavors to ensure that every graduate possesses not only technical proficiency but also innovative insights from various global references to deliver infrastructure that is resilient to disasters and aligned with environmental preservation.
