Passing the Torch to Next Generation: UNDIRA Inaugurates BEM, BPM, HIMA, and Student Activity Units for the 2025/2026 Academic Year

Tuesday, August 19, 2025 – The 6th floor auditorium of the Tanjung Duren Campus, Universitas Dian Nusantara (UNDIRA), West Jakarta, was filled with spirit and enthusiasm on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
On this occasion, the official handover and inauguration ceremony of the Student Executive Board (BEM), the Student Representative Council (BPM), the Student Associations (HIMA) of the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics (FTI) and the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences (FBIS), as well as the Student Activity Units (UKM) across UNDIRA, was successfully held. The historic moment was witnessed by the entire UNDIRA student community.
The excitement was not only reflected by the students but also reinforced by the presence of university leaders, including Vice Rector III Ir. Muhammad Hasanuddin Thoyieb, M.M., Director of Public Relations, Cooperation, and Marketing Imam Priyono, S.T., Head of the Student Affairs Bureau Anton Kurniawan, S.P., M.M., along with faculty representatives who further strengthened the significance of the event.
During the ceremony, Mr. Anton Kurniawan read the official appointment decrees (SK) for the Chairman and Vice Chairman of BEM for the 2025–2026 period, Herbiman and Junaidi Abdillah. He also announced the appointment of the new BPM and UKM boards. The inauguration continued with the HIMAs of both faculties, with decrees read by Mr. Rahmat, S.Pd.I., M.M. (representing FBIS) and Mrs. Bias Yulisa Geni, S.Kom., M.Kom.. The process ran smoothly and transparently, marking the readiness of each new board to serve as the front line for students of their respective faculties.
Following this, Mr. Hasanuddin Thoyieb posed several questions to the newly appointed leaders to test their confidence and commitment in carrying the name of UNDIRA forward. With strong and determined responses, affirming their dedication not only to uphold the university’s reputation but also to lead and perform their duties effectively, the inauguration of BEM, BPM, HIMA, and UKM for the 2025–2026 period was officially declared.
Mr. Hasanuddin then delivered a motivational speech to all UNDIRA students:
“The inauguration of BEM, BPM, HIMA, and UKM today is not merely ceremonial, but a significant momentum that affirms your role as a core component of the university in moving forward. You are the solid foundation that upholds the name and reputation of UNDIRA in society. With spirit, integrity, and dedication, let us together make student organizations a platform for ideas, service, and achievements that will bring UNDIRA to even greater heights in the future.”
This inauguration and handover reaffirmed the vital role of student organizations in strengthening the vision and mission of Universitas Dian Nusantara as it moves forward toward becoming a trusted and accomplished university by 2026.
With the successful completion of this event, it is hoped that the next generation of student leaders will contribute to the fullest—not only in advancing student and faculty programs but also in bringing honor to our beloved campus—so that together we may achieve the aspirations and goals we all share.
