Shaping the Future for New Academics, UNDIRA Holds the Opening Ceremony of the Even Semester for the Academic Year 2024/2025

Jakarta, February 22, 2025 - Dian Nusantara University once again held the Opening Ceremony for the Even Semester of the Academic Year 2024/2025. The opening event took place at the 6th Floor Hall of Dian Nusantara University, Tanjung Duren, West Jakarta, and was conducted both offline and online via Zoom.
The opening ceremony began with a presentation and official inauguration of the Opening Ceremony for the Even Semester of the Academic Year 2024/2025 delivered by Vice Rector I, Mr. Ir. Margono Sugeng, M.Sc. The Opening Ceremony is one of the special activities, where the arrival of new students will bring fresh colors to the life of Dian Nusantara University.
Mr. Ir. Margono Sugeng, M.Sc. continued by giving a brief recap of UNDIRA’s history to the new students. Dian Nusantara University has three founders: Prof. Dr. E.S. Margianti, Prof. Dr. H. Suharyadi, and Ir. Yenon Orsa, M.T. UNDIRA has three main campuses, namely; Tanjung Duren Campus, Grenville Campus, and Cibubur Campus with a total of 6300 active students.
He continued that in order to provide students with the necessary knowledge, as a University that has successfully obtained an excellent accreditation rating according to BAN-PT, UNDIRA is committed to realizing its central vision, namely; to become a trusted and professional university with a global perspective in order to meet the needs of the industrial world as well as technology-based entrepreneurship by 2030.
In order to prepare students who can compete competitively, UNDIRA has two Faculties namely; the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences (FBIS) which includes the Accounting Study Program, Management Study Program, Communication Science Study Program, and English Literature Study Program. UNDIRA also has the Faculty of Information Technology (FTI) which includes the Informatics Engineering Study Program, Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Civil Engineering Study Program, and Electrical Engineering Study Program.
Mr. Margono Sugeng emphasized that UNDIRA adheres firmly to the three main values that guide the entire academic community, namely: Visionary, Integrity, and Professionalism. These three values contribute to producing graduates who are competent, of good character, and ready to compete in the working world.
Similar sentiments were also conveyed by the Chairman of the Dian Astra Foundation, Mr. Sagoro Dharmawan who added that in order to provide integrated and flexible learning, UNDIRA has implemented Google Workspace tools in student lectures. The implementation of Google Workspace is considered to facilitate accessibility as well as create a more effective and efficient educational environment, and support the work of lecturers and students.
He also added that through the cooperation between the Career Development and Alumni Bureau of UNDIRA and Kinobi, UNDIRA is also committed to providing support in the form of providing information and job and internship opportunities to students through the UNDIRA Career Portal.
Moreover, with the Google Site platform provided as a repository of student achievement data, making CVs and Portfolios will be easier with structured data.
The segment continued with Mr. Magito, S.E., M.M., as the Academic Director reading out the Student Decree containing the rules that all UNDIRA students must follow.
The Opening Ceremony of the Even Semester for the Academic Year 2024/2025 ended with the presentation of alma mater jackets to four selected students, namely: Annissa Azzahro - Management Study Program Nabila Febriani - Communication Science Study Program Yusup Nur Alam - Mechanical Engineering Study Program Dylan Hertania - Informatics Engineering Study Program
These four students were the best representatives of all the new even semester students to wear the alma mater jacket awarded by Vice Rector I and the Chairman of the Dian Astra Foundation.
