The Opening Ceremony for New Students of Universitas Dian Nusantara’s Odd Semester 2021/2022 Welcomes 1,551 Freshmen

Jakarta, September 18, 2021 – Universitas Dian Nusantara (UNDIRA) enthusiastically held the Opening Ceremony for the Odd Semester of the 2021/2022 Academic Year. The event was conducted in a hybrid format at the Tanjung Duren Campus, West Jakarta, with limited in-person attendance and strict adherence to health protocols.
On this occasion, a total of 1,551 new students were officially inaugurated as members of the Universitas Dian Nusantara family. These freshmen hail from three main campuses: Tanjung Duren, Cibubur, and Green Ville. The symbolic inauguration included the presentation of alma mater jackets to representatives from each study program. The ceremony was led by the Rector of Universitas Dian Nusantara, accompanied by the Chairperson of the Dian Asra Foundation, and witnessed by university leaders and students joining via Zoom.
This year’s opening ceremony faced unique challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite these hurdles, Universitas Dian Nusantara’s enthusiasm to welcome the nation’s future leaders remained unwavering. The event adhered to stringent health protocols, such as limiting in-person participants and conducting the ceremony virtually for most students.
During the event, Prof. Dr. Agus Setyo Budi, M.Sc., Head of the Higher Education Service Institution for Region III Jakarta, delivered his message via Zoom. He praised Universitas Dian Nusantara for its spirit of innovation and adaptability in creating a high-quality educational environment. He also encouraged the new students to make the most of their learning opportunities.
In his speech, the Rector of Universitas Dian Nusantara shared his hopes for the new students embarking on their academic journey. He stated, “Be visionary, creative, and adaptable in facing change. The future is in your hands, and Universitas Dian Nusantara is here to guide you toward becoming exceptional, independent, and character-driven individuals.”
May the new students of Universitas Dian Nusantara fully utilize the facilities, academic support, and campus environment to their advantage and become agents of change who bring positive impacts to society and the nation.
