Jakarta, September 19, 2026 — One vision, one mission, and a shared commitment toward stronger unity and outstanding performance. This spirit underpinned the Faculty Coordination Meeting for the Odd Semester of the 2026–2027 Academic Year at Universitas Dian Nusantara (UNDIRA), held on September 17, 2026, at the Tanjung Duren Campus in West Jakarta and simultaneously via Google Meet. The coordination meeting served as a strategic step toward strengthening the quality of teaching and the academic work system across the UNDIRA academic community.

Attending the Faculty Coordination Meeting in person were Prof. Dr. H. Suharyadi, M.S., Rector of Universitas Dian Nusantara; Ir. Margono Sugeng, M.Sc., Vice Rector I of UNDIRA; Dwi Sapto Febriantaka, M.A., Vice Rector II of UNDIRA; and Prof. Ir. Asri Nugrahanti, M.S., Ph.D., IPU, ASEAN Eng., Vice Rector IV, along with the university’s Deans, Heads of Study Programs, and faculty members.

Following a solemn prayer led by Vice Rector III, Rector Prof. Dr. H. Suharyadi, M.S., delivered several key directions concerning UNDIRA’s future development, expressing his optimism that the university would continue to demonstrate positive growth over time.

“Every semester, we consistently hold the Faculty Coordination Meeting. It should not merely serve as a ceremonial gathering to welcome the upcoming semester, but also as a platform for us to evaluate our progress and determine the direction of UNDIRA’s development in the years ahead. Over the past six years, UNDIRA has continued to grow and now has three Study Programs with ‘Excellent’ accreditation, while I hope our other Study Programs will achieve the same level in the future. With approximately 6,500 active students today, UNDIRA is also continuously developing its facilities and infrastructure to meet the needs of our entire academic community. We now also have a new operational building at the Kranggan Campus which, together with our two other buildings, provides a total student capacity of approximately 13,600,” he said.

“Amid these achievements, I am fully aware that the journey ahead will not be easy. However, I hope that all of us can continue to work together and build strong synergy to further develop UNDIRA,” he continued.

Building on these remarks, Sagoro Dharmawan, S.E., Chairman of the Dian Asra Foundation, shared his perspective on the increasingly complex challenges facing the education sector today compared with previous years.

“I would like to express my highest appreciation to all the lecturers who continue to be part of Universitas Dian Nusantara. I understand that educating students in today’s era is far from easy. The challenges of administrative workloads, understanding the evolving characteristics of students, and the growing presence of AI, which is contributing to a culture of instant gratification, all require our careful attention. Today, humanity’s greatest challenge is no longer simply misinformation, but rather disillusionment of competence, or the illusion of competence that can emerge from excessive reliance on AI. Therefore, we need to strengthen an educational approach that goes beyond simply encouraging understanding and memorization. This can be achieved through outcome-based education (OBE) and oral defenses as part of assessments and examinations, with the hope of developing students who are not only knowledgeable, but also possess integrity, critical thinking skills, and adaptability,” he said.

Echoing this perspective, Ir. Margono Sugeng, M.Sc., Vice Rector I of UNDIRA, emphasized that the Faculty Coordination Meeting served as an important moment for the entire academic community to align their efforts and strengthen their shared commitment through research, academic inquiry, and impactful Community Service Programs (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat / PkM). These efforts are essential to further strengthening UNDIRA’s position as a trusted university that serves the needs of society.

The Faculty Coordination Meeting for the Odd Semester of the 2026–2027 Academic Year reflects UNDIRA’s continued commitment to strengthening the quality of higher education while fostering greater unity across its academic community. Through close collaboration among university leadership, the Foundation, and faculty members, UNDIRA remains optimistic about moving forward and delivering an educational experience that is excellent, adaptive, and relevant to the challenges of a rapidly changing world.
