Commencing 2026 with Solemnity: UNDIRA Students Host Spiritual Service on Campus
Monday, January 19, 2026 – Marking a new chapter in 2026, the Spiritual Family of Universitas Dian Nusantara Students (KARISMA UNDIRA) convened a Spiritual Service and Joint Christmas Celebration on Saturday, January 17, 2026. This event served as the inaugural momentum for the civitas academica to commence the year with profound solemnity.
Bearing the theme “The Light of Christ, Hope for a New Beginning,” the event received a warm reception, attended by 118 participants, including students and seven lecturers from Universitas Dian Nusantara who dedicated their time to attend this meaningful occasion.
The ceremony was anchored in the biblical reflection derived from Isaiah 60:1, “Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.” Based on this foundation, the spiritual activity aimed to draw participants closer to God while emphasizing that His love and blessings serve as the primary compass in navigating future uncertainties.
The proceedings commenced with the reading of the Word of God and Songs of Praise performed by the Karisma Team, followed by an opening address from the Chairperson of KKM KARISMA UNDIRA, Nobis Rever Silap. As a student of the Management Study Program, he expressed his appreciation and outlined his future aspirations for the organization.
“I extend my gratitude to the students and lecturers who have spared their time to attend this joint Christmas celebration at the UNDIRA campus. It is my hope that following this event, this student organization will remain active, enabling us to conduct monthly worship services together,” he stated.
The Head of the Public Relations Bureau of UNDIRA, Ms. Kornelia Johana Dacosta, M.I.Kom., expressed high appreciation for the efforts exerted by KKM KARISMA. She noted that such events foster a renewed sense of longing for community gathering while facilitating moments of spiritual enrichment for the Christian family within the UNDIRA ecosystem.
The event proceeded with a spiritual sermon delivered by Reverend Antoni Simanjuntak and concluded with remarks from Mr. Donny Sitorus, representing the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. Mr. Sitorus emphasized that true blessing is attained not merely through tranquility, but also through the peace and prosperity within our lives.
“Today, as the extended family of Universitas Dian Nusantara, we celebrate Christmas with the theme ‘The Light of Christ, Hope for a New Beginning.’ We acknowledge the many challenges and problems that have come our way. Christmas is not merely a celebration; it is a moment of life reflection and faith reinforcement that Christ is always present within us. Be assured that amidst all the obstacles we face, Christ is always with us,” he remarked.
In addition to its objective of drawing souls closer to God, this activity served as a momentum for all attendees to strengthen relationships, particularly through the gift exchange segment which concluded the event with great warmth.

The successful organization of this celebration marks a strategic step for KKM KARISMA UNDIRA in revitalizing spiritual activities on campus, while simultaneously demonstrating UNDIRA’s openness to noble values and religious diversity within the academic sphere. It is hoped that the consistency of this momentum can be maintained through routine monthly services, ensuring that the values of love and hope acquired are not limited to ceremonial celebrations but are concretely implemented in the dynamics of daily campus life.
