Jakarta, September 27, 2020 – Universitas Dian Nusantara (UNDIRA) celebrated its 1st Anniversary and held the Opening Ceremony for New Students of the Odd Semester for the 2020/2021 Academic Year online via Zoom Meeting.

In his address, Mr. Sagoro Dharmawan, Chairperson of the Dian Asra Foundation, highlighted the significance of this historic moment for Universitas Dian Nusantara. Despite being only one year old, the university has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing education in Indonesia. “This is a historic moment for UNDIRA, which, even at the age of one, has collaborated with great and highly committed individuals such as Prof. E.S. Margianti, SE, MM, Prof. Suryadi Harmanto, SSi, MMSI, and Mr. Ir. Yenon Orsa, MT,” he stated.

The Chairperson also shared the university's development plans, including the establishment of a new campus in Jatisampurna Subdistrict, which will be known as the UNDIRA Cibubur Campus.

The event was attended by Universitas Dian Nusantara’s leadership, external guests, and new students via an online platform. Key attendees included: Mr. Sagoro Dharmawan, Chairperson of the Dian Asra Foundation, Prof. Dr. H. Suharyadi, Rector of Universitas Dian Nusantara, along with the Vice Rectors, Prof. Dr. Agus Setyo Budi, MM, Head of LLDIKTI Region III, Drs. H. Unas Effendi, MM, Head of the West Jakarta Women’s Empowerment, Child Protection, and Population Control Office (PPAPP).

As announced by Mr. Ir. Margono Sugeng, M.Sc, Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs, based on the Rector’s Decree on New Student Admissions for the Odd Semester of the Undergraduate Program for the 2020/2021 Academic Year (Decree Number: 01/048/A-Skep/IX/2020), a total of 995 new students were officially inaugurated as part of Universitas Dian Nusantara.

Symbolizing the inauguration, representatives of new students from each program participated online in a ceremonial session, wearing the university’s alma mater jackets. On this occasion, the Rector of Universitas Dian Nusantara officially inaugurated the representatives as students for the Odd Semester of the 2020/2021 Academic Year.

The 1st Anniversary celebration not only marked the university's first year but also signified the beginning of a journey for new students to build a bright future together through high-quality education.
